Eli is a friend of mine from back in my Busse days. Frankly, I don't think you should be knocking him in a space he will never read (unless someone alerts him to it).
If you have a problem with his business practices, why don't you do him the courtesy of picking up the phone and giving him a call, especially if he bent over backwards to get your sheath to you quickly?

Well said. Eli has always been a stand up guy and well respected here on the forums. Its a shame to name drop him considering you where not the one that had bad dealings with him. There's always two sides to every story. Hell we all get caught up in some stuff sometime.

my word is on the line so im upset about it.

Noted and understood, but you are not responsible for other people, and you don't know the whole story.
The connection between your word and your own actions are the most you can control.

Your right, man. There is no telling whats going on that i haven't been told. Sometimes i speak before thinking about everything thoroughly. Im no stranger to making a mistake myself, but man enough to apologize when i do. So I do apologize for speaking about someone without knowing all the facts. I can still let him know and I can edit the post out so readers later dont use it as a decision maker before contacting him for services.

I was upset about an email i received earlier, i should have just let it go since i wasnt directly involved. I apologize.

I'll tell you what is really sad, you look at a top 10 list of burger spots for St. Louis and over half of them are chains.

I ate at a Smokey Bones in Fairview Heights last night and watched a couple innings of the Cards game. I had never been to one of those restaurants, but it wasn't too bad.

McDonald's isn't. However Hardee's is. The steakhouse downstairs does a good burger. During happy hour the burger is $6 however it is made with the trimmings of their steaks. However happy hour is only 1600-1800.

I had their blt burger and it was great. Good fries too. Both of my siblings did the build a burger thing and they were both happy.

I need to figure out how to make pretzel bread.:D

Smokey bones is great, i havent had them since i was in florida. The closest one here is over an hour away

He made a nice ax and sheath in 6 minutes

Thanks for sharing, it was cool to see it laid out like that

I need to get another one. I bought one a long time ago, but I screwed up and got the non-locking version. It's done some duty as a letter opener, but that's about it. Nice tomatoes BTW.

As far as I know, many people even remove the locking ring because they want it to be purely a friction folder. They can get stiff when moist, so they won't open accidently in your pants too easily. Definitely get another one! Thanks for the compliment on my tomatoes. Sounds a bit weird, but I'll take it.

I carry an Opinel #6 quite often. Nice, simple design and very inexpensive.

They are! I rotate between a 6, 7 and 8. 7 gets carried most often here, my girlfriend loves the 6 though.

Every now and then. They are quite capable of handling most day-to-day stuff.

They definitely are. Yours looks good!

A number 9 is my EDC. Not some days, Everyday. I don't rotate. It's there every day. Best pocket knife ever made if you ask me.

I like yours a lot BTW.

My cousin also swears by a 9. His paws are larger than mine though. They're very versatile indeed. I could come by perfectly with only an Opinel, for a loooong time.

love my #9 gardener pattern opinel -- just wish they made a carbon steel drop point.

It's an easy fix ;)

Drop points are nice

Nice!

Been meaning to get an opinel...

You should. It costs less than a 9. You can't not have an Opinel.
