:D Trust me I know... I have my 3rd Daizee blade on the way and I've already told him when the boating season is over I'm getting another one from him (Daizee, I am so serious here!) I've also got my 2nd/3rd Todd blades on the way.

I mean more the thought that your design is the only one exactly like it in the world. I currently have 2 knives of my own design made by two different makers (James and JK Handmade), it is immensely satisfying to see a knife go from a piece of paper on your desk to a finely crafted knife in your hands.

Yep!

I just got my knives from crimson and its awesome to have a blade you drew up yourself!!

I know most don't care about my artwork, haha, but I thought my "Cyborg GIMP" turned out pretty damn cool:

Thats awesome,

And most of us really do care, and like seeing your artwork :D

hell a good portion of us has your artwork in our signature!!

James if your making neck knives to peoples specs for a Benjamin you should of been told me LMAO

I'm not, that's the whole point. To make it worthwhile I'd have to make and sell a bunch, and they wouldn't be customized. Hell, the sharpened notch alone would cost me maybe 15 minutes per blade, and I kinda prefer to get paid more than minimum wage for my time :D

The advantage of a small run (or a one-off) from a handmade guy is largely in better steel, keener, cleaner grinds, better HT and higher craftsmanship overall... plus of course the options and emotional component of supporting an independent. There's just no way we can compete on price with the big boys, simply due to the sheer numbers involved.

Ok, I realized with the micarta and everything that would actually be a better belt knife than neck knife... So I did a little re-working...

Thanks man, appreciate it. Nobody usually says anything about some of the stuff I post. It's all good though, I realize this isn't an art forum, haha.

Dubz, I usually like seeing what you come up with. Stuff like this in particular I like cause it's all future-y and out there. It just looks really damn cool!

That looks a LOT better. It's not a font I'd ever use for something but it's a cool font nonetheless. Actually if I was doing an "alien" themed party I probably would use that font.

This is what it looks like with the background I made, and reflection:

I get it bro, if i was making knives i wouldnt jump to make one-offs for 100 bucks either. Hell time and materials and your left with a cheap 6 pack if your lucky.

I do hope we see some Terrio neck knives in the future though.

See bud,

Its hard to see something this cool and NOT ask you to do the word WOOD.

But It would look so much cooler with the word WOOD or WOODY, just saying.

There are a couple ideas rattling around in my noggin. Like so many things in life, it's mainly a matter of setting aside the time and capital to make 'em happen...

In unrelated news.

I built this Batman Tumbler for my son, using nothing but spare parts and the instructions from the Bane Tumbler. My boy wanted a Black Batman one, and I had three hours and a can of black spray paint to kill. I didn't have all the necessary parts, so I had to improvise a bit. So, wah-la!!
