anyone know why my plastic LE BK10 scales appear to be thicker than any of the other Becker scales I've got?

Not that I'm complaining... I've got big hands and my BK9 handle just seemed kind of small. So the think LEBK10 scales, Flexxx liners, and a ranger band and now that's one damn meaty grip. So meaty, in fact, that the stock sheath snaps won't snap, heh.

Just a heads up since I cant afford to get it myself.

There is a effingham era Becker/Reinhardt Kukri for sale on a popular auction site.

I know I cant deal spot but lets say it rhymes with he say.

I cant afford it right this minute, but I dont want to see it go to some poser. Thought I would give the Becker people a chance.

Anyway GOOD LUCK and If you get it, remember me fondly because its one of my grail knives, it just finds me at a low financial point.

well, shoot man, great way to start a thread

I so want that Reinhardt, just can't swing it right now. And that Brute. And all those Machaxes. They all deserve a good home right here in my safe. I still might bid on it, ramens cheap for a month.

Is it Camillus grivory?

i have an evil plan.

you will see how evil soon.

Yeah, someone in chat confirmed what you're suggesting Murph that the reason it seems thick to me is that I guess Camillus made thicker scales. And I'm not unhappy with 'em, but thanks for the trade offer! For some weird reason the BK9 handle felt a little slim, so the thicker Camillus scales (plus liners, plus ranger band) were perfect for beefing it up to my satisfaction. Hoping to wield it some this weekend since we're camping out at Lake Pleasant.

Also, I figured out a solution to my 'emergency/everything else too kit' problem... Maxped 6x9x3 padded pouch.

Yeah n if anyone wants a hank of this 1/4" P.E.T. paracordy stuff by Arteplas (I've been threading 550 through it; the bigger diameter is more comfortable as a lanyard) drop me an email.
