Hit the Siphon Draw trail today to do some training for a Canyon hike I've got coming up. This was where Godspeed and averageiowaguy did their overnighter that they did the video for. Such an awesome place and amazing perfect weather.

I spent half the day troubleshooting out water heater -- repairmen says he'll be out around 5 tomorrow night...

on the plus side, neighbor helped me set about 40 T-posts today - and will talk to his cousin about getting me the 10 hedge posts i need to finish things up before we string wire. (the cousin also has a bobcat with 12" auger for drilling the holes for the corner posts)

we got two days of snow on leap day and after, about a foot here, lots more up north, and nearly none an hour south. go figure.

I should not be looking at the Kifaru site. Do you have any idea why the X-Ray cost a little bit more than the Molle Express?

Took a couple mile hike up to saddle rock to try out some gear

Made sure to bring along the necessary protection from wild hobittssess

Realized right off I need to invest in a separate short hike pack. My falcon is kind of setup for the long hauls and bugging out, takes to long to disassemble everything for short hikes. Damn, now I need a murse. Snowed 2 days ago and today its 63, figured I would get some trail miles in.
