So thats what Im doing wrong! Art is one of my classes :D

Im liking it doing lots of writing and trying to remember all the math I have forgotten in the last 20 years. For some reason after I got out of school any math I have done was just numbers not letters

I think most of us have had that problem with math.:D

Now, that's funny!

I find that all the truly important things in life can be boiled down to 3 or 4 simple and self-evident truths.

For some reason after I got out of school any math I have done was just numbers not letters

In my work I deal with math and geometry almost constantly. Yet, I have never, EVER, had to do a quadratic equation or solve for the cosine of "x" outside of the classroom. I'm convinced that "higher" math courses are required in college strictly to provide jobs for geeks that actually like to stand in front of a room full of people who are bored to tears and hemorrhaging money, and torture them with it.

Thanks...

EDIT: Actually, now that I sit and think about it, you're not wrong.

If you have too much trouble, give me a holler. I used to teach argumentative essay writing, and I do a LOT of math tutoring as part of my day job.

Yeah, pulled out of the editor seat.
I'm sure he appreciated it!

To be fair, maths have changed too since I was in school. 2+2=4 isn't always a constant. 2+2 can equal 11 and a "good job trying little timmy"

I'm so sorry for you for your day job!

Happy Birthday man! Hope you have a great one.

Nice article G, I love to write, but could never do it for a job.. In college I had to write a 5000 word essay on one word, I took English Lit in summer school for fun, lol.. never had a problem writing a paper after that, but I don't think I could hack the stress of writing as a profession.. hat's off to you, sir.

Happy birthday!

Hey guys! My dad gave me a new ax/machete yesterday night; this morning I went out and played with it!

I was chopping with the hatchet-part and the crow-hook racked the top of my head!

The pic doesn't do the cut justice, it's about 3/8-1/2'' deep! I bled like a stuck pig, my parents were cool about it though! I didn't even take the ax away :D:D:cool:

Head traumas usually bleed a LOT! Knee wounds do too. That was a nice looking gash. Glad you're ok, but you might want to invest in a hard hat of some sorts until you're able to keep from sticking an ax in your head.

Happy birthday G&B.

Geeze, you'd be better off with an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle with a compass in the stock, and this thing which tells time.
