Completely forgot I had to write a paper for my English class, that's due tomorrow. Should be interesting...

And sometimes you build the shed you can...yah I know it's not keeping the snow off - mostly 'cause of all the blowing around it was doing yesterday. Also, because that was the space I had to work with, so I built what I could. Maybe a longer roof come warmer weather. I like that woodpile too, b. I don't burn wood other than in the firepit, so that would be complete overkill here at casa de North Mill Pond. If only the town of Rye would pull their collective heads out of their dark places, I might could burn some more of that at the beach. They used to let anyone start a "cooking fire" at the beach if you went to the fire station and got a permit (copy of your driver's license) and told you where you were gonna make it. Some people were not attending to their fires, so the town decided to not let any out of towners get permits...huh? Hello, it's not the people who are going to the trouble of getting permits and giving you their location and driver's licenses that are causing the problem; if they were, you'd know where to find them, boneheads! Now I have to call in favors from friends and masquerade as someone else for the evening if we want to have a fire at the beach, which sucks, because all of us lurve having fires at the beach and would actually pay for permits to do so. Still won't make those idiots listen to logic.....rant over.

large influx of artics owls up in rye on the rocks. spent some time there looking, no owls to shoot. with my camera.

sometimes, you do a thing, because, you can

uɐɔ noʎ 'ǝsnɐɔǝq 'buıɥʇ ɐ op noʎ 'sǝɯıʇǝɯos

That ain't right. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

In other news, (sing along with me now) where, oh where can my PA knife be...

5 pallets, 4 2x4's, and a scrap of corrugated steel = wood rack or camp armchair and ottoman.

The fam went to look for them down in Salisbury (State Beach?) (MA) last weekend and saw quite a few...when did you go to Rye? You weren't more than a couple miles from my house. Visiting mods get (at least one) free beer, just in case you're in the area again ;).

Damn, -7°, wind chill -21°. Was supposed to get down to -3° tonight, I'd say it made it.

Erik, I have a really stupid random question for you. What angle do you put the bottom of the wood chair at? I been trying to remember but can't.

I never measured the angle.
out of 48" boards, 15" for seat and the 15-18" up (depending on how long your legs are) for the notch in the back seems to work pretty well -- if you want more of a lean, either make the seat-board shorter (like 45" long) or make the slot in the back a looser fit

so basically you just cut a hole in the one board 15-18" up and it's just a straight cut not angled at all... and the second board you rip it 33" on either side... I can remember that. Oh, does it matter how wide you leave it when you rip it? Would 4.5" on each side be good or would that be taking too much off?

I was thinking what about you add a second hole about 6" from the bottom, and run a second board out for a foot rest...

I made supper tonight. Made salads. I know, I know, I know... I started with grilling some chicken kabobs. Those were chicken, peppers, onions, and cherry tomatoes. Then I mixed romaine and spinach. I had also had artichoke hearts, pickled pepper rings (not the ones I made), and marinated mozzerella pearls. Topped the salad with some olive oil, sea salt, and lemon juice. Then some bacon chopped up on top.

Thats sounds like a great salad cbear. Prolly what i should of ate for dinner.... Instead of fried chicken, potato wedges and a couple rolls.... It tasted delicious, but im not suppose to be eating like that. It was the first time i had fried chicken in a month or 2 though. And before this cholesterol crap i was eating fried chicken at a minimum of 3 times a week. Always been my favorite food.

At one point years ago before i joined the army i worked at a restaurant and i would eat fried chicken, collard greens, and garlic bread. every day. 5 days a week. I never switched it up. If i worked that day thats what i ate, and it was always delicious. 3 years straight i worked there, and everyone always said id get tired of eating the same thing every day but i never did. To this day i have NEVER had better fried chicken in all my life. And probably never will. The cook at the restaurant was my older brother, the one thats now in prison. That a-hole has been an excellent cook since he was young. We lived in a small country town but people came from the 2 towns next to us just for his fried chicken, no joke it was excellent. There was lots of stuff on the menu and there was even a buffet... but that chicken was crazy delicious. He was suppose to go to culinary arts school, it was his passion seriously. But drugs got the better of him and he just lost it.

I miss his cooking, my cholesterol doesnt though. When your not quite 30 yet and your doctor is having cholesterol talks with you its not a good thing supposedly.
