I took today off work. Went back to the hospital this morning after dropping the other two at school. Wee man got a pass to come home, so we all just got in. Making my self eggs and bacon, then I'm going for a nap!

Yeah, when things happen to your little ones all ya can do is pray.

Nix - today is a great day to take off work. Just explain to them that some guy on the internet told you too ;) I'm sure they'll just go with it! :D

It's surprisingly easy. The main hard part to pick up isn't the movement of the pick though; it's getting the amount of tension on the tension wrench down. The second pick from the left is one of the easier ones to use, if you're doing deadbolts, IMO.
 
Yeah I'm pretty sure they'll take the old "I read it on the internet" routine. Lol

Got our Xmas tree up... Put one outside in my hillbilly hangout as well.

Got most Xmas shopping done already too... Wrapped most presents last night... We are kicking ass this year! Have no plans of being up all night wrapping Xmas eve....

Wife ordered a 1.5 lb Kidd trigger assembly... Rifle is nearing completion.. MOA? ... With a better marksman, I have no doubt.

Speaking of MOA this was my pre deer season sight check on a new Ruger Gunsight Scout 50 yards from a rest not a vise. Anyone know what that might translate to MOA wise?
 
measure outside to outside, subtract bullet diameter, multiply by 2.
so, if it's .8 inches, subtract .31 -- this gives .49.
2 x .49 = .98, or roughly 1 MOA.

your pattern looks slightly smaller than that, so you're probably OK so long as you don't get buck fever and flinch or pull to the left. :D

I think I got lucky, but factory ammo a stock gun its a nice group. I just didn't know if it was 1 MOA since it was 50 was that times 2 or times 4. And yes its under .5 inch group. Either way I cant kill a snake from 10 feet so there is that.......

maybe if they supplied a bigger snake?
 
I forget exactly what it translates to but 1" @ 100 yards is about 1moa.

That Ruger gsr is a pretty nice gun. I'm leaning more toward the Mossberg MVP scout though mainly because it uses ar10 and m1a mags. The GSR is still tempting though.

Now you get to do it alllllll over again haha. Mine are 7yrs apart.

It was weird when my youngest started school.
I was still younger than a lot of the other parents and I caught myself several times saying to myself "wtf are you thinking fool" about the way the older parents handled their kids. Then I had to remember I had 7 years experience and even though they're like 10 yrs older than me, they're on their first go round lol.

It was much worse with my oldest, some of the other parents were old enough to be MY parents!

I'm glad I hadem young.
I'm 41 with a 20y/o son and 13y/o daughter. A lot of friends still have toddlers and babies. No way I could do that now...

Well BeeKay...you have 15yrs experience to pull from so it should be like riding a bike.




Looks like someones already trying to cash in their Ka-Bar Kash. No pics available because they haven't received it yet! Haha...kinda irks me but kinda can't blame him.
If I'd had about $500 to blow I might have done the same.

Next I expect some micarta to flood some sales sights at a slight discount.

Yeah, when my wife asked me about a 3rd child (the oldest girl was then 8 and the little one was 4), and said "don't you want to have a little boy?" I said "what's wrong with the two (girls) we already have? Besides, what makes you think we'd have a boy? Plus, I'm 46.....what makes you think I want to have any more kids!?"

This, as it turned out, was not the correct way to approach the subject - not surprisingly. I love my two girls. But.....I didn't want to go back to diaperland either, for a number of reasons.....not the least of which is that it's no fun being the DNA donor with ALL the responsibilities and NONE of the perks.

Congrats to you, Springy. I hope your orgy pit is, in fact, scraped and buttered. I miss those days terribly.
 
Speaking of guns.... I may have picked up a Glock 17 gen 2 that has a gold barrel and slide. Anyone know where I can find any info about these?

I have four boys 17 15 6 and 2.5 it sucks and it is awesome all at the same time
