That sucks, I have to go in Thursday to get my schedule changed then on Friday I get my wisdom teeth out, then by the time I'm able to do stuff again school starts

Wow..... My lot seems a bit better now.....:p Seriously though, that sucks....

Your not immune to torture either WW, got your project all roughed and pieces matched, I ended up using some really nice pieces of curly ash, instead of maple. Its a little rarer material, but its more solid and has tight grain. Got it in one piece tonight....... oh yeah, no pics for you either! :D

Oh damn.... Thats just cold!! :D

But I do appreciate it, and look forward to seeing it!!

Haha, heres some eye candy for ya Cbear and WW, this is one of our very own Beckerheads Tradewater and a random Yuma that just got done.:D

Me and Cbear are pretty easy ya know.... We would be OK with 1 picture with both projects in it... Half the work, 2 birds with 1 stone :D

Cant fault me for trying LMAO

Haha, yeah, nice try, but I'm winding down on the couch in the house right now. Your guy's stuff is in the shop. Worked a 14 hr. day today, so, right now, you couldn't get me to go back into my shop if you super glued my balls to a cannonball and fired it through the front doors! :D

Scratched my stove itch a little bit today.

Got to play with my new plasma cutter at what I call work today, damn that is one bad unit, dual voltage so you can even run it of off single phase regular household socket. But, for the industrial application, plug er into 220 and the thing will cut 3/4in. plate steel clean as a whistle...... It does require dry air. So the manufacturer suggests you run a drier on your air compressor. I made a portable cart for it today, and since there no guarantee that the same compressor will be used, I made a filter system out of piant gun filters right on the back of the unit. So, I can take it anywhere there's a air compressor and electricity and cut plate steel. Freakin cool in my book!

Sorry about your little furry friend, D. I like most cats a lot better than most people.

Wisdom teeth ain't so bad... it only hurts until the pain goes away. On the other hand if you don't get 'em pulled, the pain will never go away. Cowboy up ;)

Yeah but can it cut hearts out of knife blanks?

Lol, yeah, it does, but not as fine as I would like, plus it would work harden it to the point I dont do much with it. However, I am in talks with the tool manufacturer that sold me my 45ton ironworker. Seems they can make me a punch to my specs. Hmmm, got the gears a turnin thats for sure.

Another pretty cool thing that happened today. When I got done with my work, I went by my wifes work and picked up my son, he wanted to come home and hand out with me. When we got home, I unlocked the door, and who should rush to us and greet us. None other than our beloved pup Sophie. Whats strange about that you say, well, since she's still a pup, she spends her day in her kennel. Evidently, this morning, we all forgot to lock her up. So, as soon as I realized it, I told my boy to look through the house and see what she chewed or ruined. He took one side of the house, it took the other. Well, she bothered nothing bless her heart. We did find a puddle of drool on our leather couch, which I have no dought she napped on most all of the day. But I was very proud of her that she didnt totally destroy the house.

Thanks for the kind thoughts, fellas. He was my buddy. Glad I got to seem him for a few days after getting home.

Getting my wisdom teeth out was AWESOME. Not too much pain, and solved a variety of minor problems before they got major. Best surgery I've ever had.

Im man enough to admit when it comes to going to the dentist im not much of a man....

Lots of people hate going to the dentist... But im terrified of going. I never liked going to doctors or dentists but with dentists I have had worse experiences.

Growing up i think i may of seen a dentist 2 or 3 times total before i graduated from high school, never went to doctors much either.. But when i joined the army i needed LOTS of dental work.

One day i went in to get a bunch of fillings and a couple wisdom teeth pulled... The dentist, who was a full bird colonel, told me if it hurts to raise my hand and he would give me another shot to numb it further... I raised my hand, he kept drilling.. I waived my hand back and forth, he kept drilling.. Then i smacked him across the face... One of the stupidest things i have ever done...

He stops what he was doing, made a comment about not having to pay for the shots, and proceeded to stick me with needle after needle all over my mouth... I lost count and was numb for days...Another time a dentist stuck the needle in the wrong spot.... Caused a crazy reaction in me and i had some type of panic attack..

Now i fear dentist more than damn near anything on earth. I need a whole ton of dental work done but im in all honesty afraid to go to the dentist. I know i should just man up and get it over with but easier said than done.

When i do finally go in, it will be the last time i ever go because ill have them put me to sleep, yank every tooth out my mouth, throw in a couple implants on the bottom to connect a bottom denture to, and just use a full top denture.

It is what it is.

Yeah, and all of that, plus they give you a bucket of pain pills! :D

FWIW - they do have sedation dentistry where they put you out or at least drug the fool out of you to do routine things like clean your teeth. I'm not quite to the point of needing it, but I come closer than I'd like to admit.

When I was in Jr. High, I had listened to my father moan and complain about how poor we were to the point that one time I went to the dentist and had a cavity drilled and filled without Novocaine to save the family money. It was one of those experiences you never forget.

Years later I found out we weren't poor. Not wealthy, but not anything like the sob and moan complaining I heard all the time. I was just naive - or maybe trusting of my parents.

Chalk it up to an experience I hope to never repeat.

I also found out that the Novocaine shots have epinephrine in them, so all this time that I thought my heart was racing from anxiety every time I had to have a cavity filled (and I've got more than a few), it wasn't just about anxiety, it was about the drugs they were pushing into me. Knowing that doesn't help my heart beat slower, but it does help me think maybe I'm not quite as much of a dental basket case as I thought I was.

Not where I'm from. They're remarkably stingy with that stuff, have been for years :grumpy: I never got squat from the dentist to take home, except advice to take a Tylenol and suck it up. Luckily I had other... sources. I'm not one to advocate illegal drug abuse but I'll say this much... there's a reason they used to use cocaine for oral surgery. Of course, there's also a reason why they don't any more.

Then i smacked him across the face... One of the stupidest things i have ever done...

Look up "sedation dentistry". I'm sure you have to sign extra waivers and stuff but the idea is they'll just knock you clean out for a couple hours and do as much work in one sitting as they can.

I had my wisdoms pulled in two sittings... first side went fine. Second session, not so much... dentist couldn't find a nerve with the novocaine and he didn't have the gas or valium drip. So he basically pulled 'em raw. One of 'em broke inside my jaw - now that is a weird noise - and he had to dig the pieces out of my gum. I felt every freakin' bit of it... but it was still worth while.

Last time I went to a dentist, she was a real... unpleasant woman. I need a ton of work done too, pretty much yank 'em all and get me some false choppers... but finding a good doc is tricky. And expensive.

Moral of the story is, you young whippersnappers take care of your pearly whites now while you're young, before it gets out of control, and while you're still on your parents' insurance.
