Well, we signed another year here at the apartment. :( The up side is that a garage opened up in our building. I snatched it up.... Now to smuggle a Jeep up here.

waitjustaminutehere....

Are you saying there will be a full-size TMHunt blade within the borders of Lil Rhody??
We may have to arrange a show & tell, whether the sheath got murphed before delivery or not.

Sure. Bring some of yours.

First time in life that I wished I lived in Yankee territory! :D
Texas is great but not enough Maguas, Yumas and Tradewaters that's for sure.

fair enough.
though it's the shoemaker's kids who go barefoot.... all the best ones are sold off. :-(

How often are you within striking distance of Lil Rhody, GSOM?

I can also bring a JT Terrio knife. Although I did sell my Brute, I still have a Reinheart khukri I can bring.

I know the feeling, but I have actually talked SWMBO into letting me keep one from this batch  I realized some time ago that I hadn't made myself a knife in at least three years... WTF is up with that?

Good!
One of the things that keeps me going, even just as a hobbyist maker essentially, is new variations that *I* want, even if someone else gets the first one. Though usually I end up with the prototypes and the more refined examples leave home... So far I have kept one of every primary model (plus one-offs for me or funsies) except the big 5" mountain knives (that's 'big' for me), including samples in various sizes of each in some cases. Since I can carry only 3" long blades in this state, that means lots of little scaled-down EDCs kicking around.

I am totally on board with this methodology. I have been very interested in smaller blades for daily carry/use, particularly 3 inches or less, and I think you do them very well. I will PM you soon!

Pretty much every day. 112 miles from here to Providence. That's only, like, 4 hours with Boston traffic ;).

I can bring the Brute. If you gentlemen can make it to the Northeast Gathering in October, there'll also be a couple of Patrol Machetes. And a Tradewater of a Becker sort, as dresnor has a BK2 that was modified by none other than the man, the myth, the legend himself.

On second thought, maybe we can convince bladite to host a little gathering. He's only an hour or so west of me and I heard he has a few blades. And axes. I know he has LOTS of axes.

*Providence*?!?
That's like the opposite corner of the state! An overnighter! Excuse me, an "ovahnightah".

OooOOOoo... axe partay... neat idea. I've got... fewer than 10.

Gotta get that October thread started so planning can begin. Looks like I'll be ashore and available after Oct 9 or so.

Man, you really are from Rhody when a half hour drive requires an overnight bag. I could drive from one corner of your state to the opposite corner and still not be finished with my morning coffee.

I will get ahold of trailbum and let him know.

I have not yet taken the "new to me" Beamer out at night yet, kinda, curious about the interior lights, exterior lights and what not.So, I just took it out for a evening cruise through the back country Indiana roads, may or may not of stomped it a few times. Damn, German engineering, that thing flat hauls ass! I likey!

Never use 3 parts when 4 will do. ;)

GSOM, clearly you need to drink your coffee faster. Heheheheh.

Agree! or asked me a generic question like "how much do you like boobies?" Then I would of been at peace!

They probably don't like getting poked during the procedure.

Just what I need. A sheath that smells like Budwiser. :barf:

I know we're talking about Murph here but he's got more self-respect than that. Doesn't he?

For me it's more like "damn German engineering..." :D. I don't spend much money on my vehicles and I work on them myself when I can. German cars make both of those things difficult. But I'm not trying to rain on your parade, Todd. Glad you have a ride you enjoy.

If anyone's looking for a new show to watch I HIGHLY reccomemd checking out "hell on wheels". It a western drama but it takes place during the building of the trams continental railroad. It is really good

Self-respect, no. I won't touch most of the mass produced chemical swill, unless it's free and the only thing available.

Sometimes I won't even touch it then. Depends on the swill. I'd rather stay sober than drink Coors light.

Just had a Shock Top raspberry wheat. About as strong as water but it's tasty.
