Just got home from an MYB bike ride. Popped open a can of Founder's All Day IPA. Mmmm. Also a little snack of that dried squid (sweetened and chili-fied) I got at the Asian grocery yesterday. That's right, I said Squid. Jerky. Gonna go see if I can get my mower started.

I need to try a few more good beers.

Only IPA i have tried that i remember was Sierra Nevada Torpedo. It was just OK in my opinion. Had a really strong aftertaste that was hard for me to enjoy.

deal, which bottle you want? I have every size because apparently people mistake rum for rye when gifting me liquor. I think if i double check my bar (which is packed up in 5 rubbermade bins), I have 4 bottles of it :(

Truth is I had one bad night with it and haven't touched it since, and its not the flavor because i like the taste lol. maybe I'll open one of them tonight when the wife gets back from the store with my coke :D

Oh im not picky, just send me all of them and ill figure it out ;) :D

I have been WASTED out my mind from Crown... But never had a bad experience.... that i can blame on the Crown anyways LOL... Its been my main drink now for about 10 years.

Tequila makes me angry though. I dont drink it anymore. Really i mostly just drink whiskey and cheap brandy. I do well with them.

that would be a good description of pretty much every IPA out there.
try a scotch ale or wee heavy instead.

The Hop Torpedo is not for beginners or the faint of heart. Try the Founder's All Day if you can get it. Great hoppy taste without punching you in the face with flavor like the SNBC, Torpedo. Or the SNBC Pale ale...that is very easy to enjoy, IMO.

It was my wifes best friend's birthday. We were drinking crown and coke, it was going down easier then water. Apparently I then proceeded to puke in her bathroom and pee on her bathroom wall. I have no memories of this, but I do remember the worst hangover of life the next day

Never even heard of Scotch Ales.. I will definitely be looking into some of them!!

Thanks

Ill look for the All day!! The torpedo punched me in the face a few times LOL

I'm glad your shipping that up, you're a saint!

I went back today and bought a case. Assuming I can do the fall gathering, a bottle might be in your future.

Vik, I went ahead and got the growler with the $10 paint job. By the time I pay shipping, it's pretty much a wash. Plus, this one is Nashvegas cool.

Currently at home waiting for some friends to arrive. We went out to supper and they are coming over for the night. (Family friends for almost 30 years are passing through town.) Apparently they decided to stop at Wal-Greens. No clue what they are getting but it's no big deal. At supper though everyone was making fun of me for the way I eat fajitas. Cause I skip the tortillas, and throw everything in the skillet and eat it with a fork. It's the way I've done it for YEARS! But they have never seen anyone do it like that I guess...

Finishing out the evening with a couple of ciders and sitting around the fire pit... Be back in a few hours folks!

Burly couple of work days. Been busy installing the interior of the new Arcteryx store in Toronto. Last night we installed the 300 pound logo/sign. Had to use some crafty climbing setups to get it into position. I'll be glad when this is over.

Next time I'm at the Mexican place, I'm going to order faginas and see what they bring me.

tomorrow, barring misfortune, I will have a chance to play with the RBK prototype and eat venison stew made by Mrs. Col.
