I gotta say, yer kinda soundin' like a pussy, son. You're terrified by a grown man in pajamas?

Do yourself a favor and stop whining now, before my opinion of you gets any worse. :

Do not fear the Psyop... embrace Psyop... Psyop kicks ass.
Never said terrified, said traumatized. Not really too worried about people's opinions too much, I've gone 32 years saying what's on my mind, don't see any reason to stop now.

I don't fear the Psyop, I also don't think I'd embrace the Psyop, but yes the Psy does kick ass.

I picked up four of them for six bucks apiece at a flea market the other day. They were laying on a table screaming "throw me". :D

Does the little guy throw easier or harder or the same as the bigguns?

Damn, those look like Nessmuk double bits. Thats a steal, especially if they are a decent maker. I gotta commision you to do some Garage sale shopping for me ..lol

I think the maker is Chang Lui Wong. And his kids. And their cousins. They are 440 stainless too! They don't throw too bad though...:D

Got some good sleep this morning!!

Personally, I'm a little disappointed that there were no ninjas...or pirates...or zombies... or zombie pirate ninjas. Otherwise, it was a really good story. :D

I had to keep it a little realistic :D

And Neko is Too friendly to human strangers... The zombie pirate ninja would prolly get a tongue bath LOL

It takes a village. Literally. The $1.09 they saw of your $24 will feed them for three months.

Gus, I bought some coarse emory boards and some Cornhuskers lotion and got those callouses under control.
I read that it's a beginner phase because of the type of holds I'm grabbing. Later, the emphasis will be more on fingertips.

Fair enough. Semantics are what they are.

I sure wish you would say somethin' about that kitchen knife, somewhere in public. Good, bad or indifferent. That's kinda the idea of sendin' the damn thing all over the country... ;)

Off to the quote thread with you

I only said it because it's true.

Tentative plan:

2-mile run and 100 push-ups.
Take the kiddos hiking.
Cut the out-of-control grass.
Watch Rory win the PGA.

I hope he does win. I have Sunday Masters tickets next year, and it would be damn cool to see him win three majors in a row. Tiger who?

I've talked about it in the last snark thread! It's an absolute beast of a blade. It's held an edge remarkably long, I haven't touched it up at all, mainly cause I don't want to screw it up. The blade shape is great. Having that extra belly in the blade allows it to slice and rock-chop with ease. A lot of straight belly blades don't seem to slice as well to me, having that belly allows it to push and pull cut with no issues. The balance is very nice, it feels alive in your hand like it's an extension of my hands. At first I was holding it in a grip that wasn't conducive to extended use, it was slightly digging into the edge of my middle finger. Once I adjusted my grip through I have had no issues what so ever using it. I've used it twice as the only blade for making supper. Both times it's been used for general chopping all the way down to intricate "paring knife" cuts and it's handled it all admirably. I think if you pair this blade with a small 3" paring knife there isn't anything you can't really do in the kitchen.

So here's my "new" Trangia burner.

Varnish is whacked out.

I've bought from this ebay outfit before, and all was well. Thousands of feedback and 100% positive. I hope they want to keep it that way.
