I was going 60 when I hit it dead center, so I expected it yo be pretty bad. I lucked out though, and it will only need a bumper.

I think I'd have needed CPR cause of the heart attack! Glad your rig's ok too. I know you gotta drive to earn.

I'm gonna crash out now check ya later.

Hitting a deer in the truck doesnt get me too excited anymore. All my driving is mostly at big, so this wasnt the first I've gotten and surely won't be my last. I just get pulled over and check everything over real well and then head back to make sure the deer is dead and take care of it if isn't. Then I'm back on my merry way.

Now if I hit a deer in my personal vehicle I'd be a not freaked out. I just hope I never get something big like a moose, cow, or horse. That occasionally happens around here and is a helluva mess.

kids go back to school today, my daughter starts high school today as a freshmen... I'm already stressing on who she's gonna bring home...

Ha!! We actually has something similar on an old truck and theu work very well. The one we had didnt just cover the bumper, it actually replaced it with a very thick bumper that all the rest of the guard attached to. It just laughed when you hit a deer with it. My boss got it from a Canadian company who built them to hold up to hitting a moose.

I've seen it at the local beer joint. I thought maybe it was a novelty so I passed it by. I did pick up a few old favs and a couple new beers Saturday though.

Yeah, I was also a bit concerned that it would be a novelty beer, but thankfully I was wrong. Just a solid English bitter. Rather tasty.

sory - hands were full of steel - I didn't have time for pics. :D

bring her - she'll have a blast, especially if Mrs Trade & Mrs Murph show up -- of course, then you have to live with the aftermath...

bitters are good....

I've had the Iron Maiden beer, not bad.

That was M9 #9.
The boss made appreciative noises, as did Mrs Colonel, and Psyop decided he needs to send #4 back to Todd for a rework of the handle to more like #9's.
I offered to do it with the 36 grit wheel on the bench grinder in his basement, but he turned me down.

Oh Shit..... I was hoping that was all a joke. You mean I have to see the M9 from hell again?

Just start EDC'ing "The Destroyer" and picking her up from school. = problem solved

Holy crap, glad that didn't work out worse for you and the truck. Deer glop is sticky, too.

LMAO, that sounds like the way the universe works to me :D

But hey, now you have a few good lights for the next time you misplace one of them!!

My wife took my E11 before the PD35 even made it here LOL.... But now that the PD35 is here i could care less... Im sure there will be times i miss the smaller E11... Especially the kydex neck sheath i had for it... That made that light so convenient.... But the PD35 can make my pitch black basement look like a bright summer day LOL

All in all it's no that bad, I really didn't have a good light for when I'm in the woods so the fenix fills that role perfectly, and I've been wanting a micro stream, the fact that it's a little smaller makes it more suitable for EDC IMO.
Now I just need to find a roll for my stylus pro to fill and I'll be fine

I've seen many awesome versions around here. I work as a coordinator in a food distribution warehouse. I like to go for a walk through the yard from time to time and check out the different rigs.

Heck, I want to get a big truck and put one on it for every day driving :D The only problem I'll have is scraping off honda civic's

Yeah,

I'd really like one of these. I need to keep saving my pennies.

Have you seen the avalanche with the 8.6L Vortec engine? Holy sweet Jesus on a cracker that thing eat children for breakfast!

OOOOO! Thats no fun at all. Hope you get it worked out. And to relate to your earlier comment about hitting a cow... YAH... IF you have ever seen an 18 wheeler peg a cow going 65-70... you know it makes quite the mess to say the least. As far as deer go, my mother is quite the deer slayer. Once pegged 2 deer.. head on... AT THE SAME TIME, going about 50-60. Both died on impact but it jammed the radiator back over the engine on her brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee.
