Biscuit, I'm sorry to hear about your father-in-law.

DJG, yup you're gonna need a regular Hornet too!

Thanks, fellas, for the condolences. We spread my FIL's ashes in a creek where he played as a boy. We have one pill bottle full (he was a pharmacist) that is going on the Auburn football field if we can manage it. That man loved his Tigers football.

I guess i missed that post, Sorry to hear about your father-in-law. Hope the family is holding together. smoke headed south.

ordering shirts friday fellas! get in before its too late! next batch will be ordered by 12 or more!

Still need that PayPal invoice for two shirts in XL.

Wilderness Systems Aspire 105. Great boat with lots of features and WS has a solid warranty. You can fish, camp, cruise rivers that are 2+ or drop the skeg for flatwater. The seat is the best out there and the stability is excellent. Trust me, it's a very, very good boat.

Thanks trade. Its a little over my anticipated budget, but looks to be a great setup. I'll definitely keeps my eyes open for this one.

Morning folks! Heat and humidity have finally subsided up here. Temps of 24 C (75 F) today and almost no humidity - very comfortable.

Morning Gus. We've got three days of cooler weather forecast here as well. Good time to check out a couple of trails over in Missouri we've been wanting to do.

Yeah Trade. I think we are all enjoying the same pleasant weather front. It was almost unbearable up here during the last few days. Yesterday, with the humidity it felt like 100 F. Very sticky. Must have been pretty warm down your way. We have some friends from Lexington visting over the next few days - they are also appreciating the cooler temps.

What trails are you guys gonna check out?

Best part of working at a restaurant... Really the ONLY good part of working at a restaurant, restaurants recognize restaurant workers... Tonight I went to Prime 1000 (Steak house in the building I live in) and they are known for having 1000° grills for cooking their steaks. They are also known for having amazing quality beef (One of only a couple 4¤ restaurants in St. Louis.) So I went and I had a 14 oz filet with a wedge salad and garlic whipped mashed potatoes. The manager came over, and wrote off the whole check.
that is so cool! one lucky guy!

Mrn8,

I got the future beach fusion 10, its pretty cheap and works great for anything i ever needed it for. I mostly just fish from mine and paddle around but no real rapid use. I think i paid like 299 for it from dicks sporting goods brand new. Has a very "familiar" platform but the seat is cheap, but that's an easy fix....

And ALL of you think cutting a car in half is bada$$ despite the no replies to my post!

If you think stabbing one with a bk2 is cool then cutting one completely in half is major awesomeness!

It's pretty awesome, I could agree on that. I don't think I'd ever need to do it though, lol. I guess that guy did have fun destroying that thing. I know I would.

This one and the connector to the Ozark trail on the western side of it.

Yea its not something most people will ever need, I like knowing its possible though. If the SHTF it would be nice to know I can cut my way out or into a car or building with only minor edge damage.

And really that look like a lot of work!!! I might have enjoyed the first hour..... after that i would have quit!

I got one to be my main chopper, and maybe throw a little, but not to destroy cars lol

Nice. We did the same for my Mom, in the Spirit River, alongside which her grandparents first homesteaded when they came to America. I too grew up playing and exploring there, learned to fish and so forth. I find it very comforting :)
