What you're telling me is that, in order to lose some weight, I need to start smoking. :p

The bad news is it only gets harder. I used to be able to drop weight by switching to light beer. It takes work now and lots of it. :D

Sure worked for me. Strange thing is, I don't really eat any more than I did, it just affected my metabolism, I guess.

Agree with Trade about it being harder to lose weight as you get older. I'm struggling to shed a few extra pounds.

I'm starting to do double workout-days. Trained at the climbing gym this morning and then went out for a 10 km run. Conditions were hot and humid, but I got it done.

Maybe I'll start smoking crack - although it does not seem to be working for our mayor.

i know a lot of girls that "sneak a few cigs" to keep their weight down, they claim otherwise, they don't smoke, because it's as nasty habit.

catching them in the act is a golden moment.... "would you rather me be fat?" -- "yes, and alive"...

finding them in the glove box just elicits red-guilty faces and "those are my friends" -- "okay, i'll toss them out for you"...

quit. really. quit. stay quit. kill yourself some other way. cancer you can't quit as easily later. if/when. my dad died that way. after a lifetime of smoking, and 20 years clean, the cancer got him anyway, but would probably have got him sooner had he not quit.

sure, we all have life sentences, but to some degree, we do have a say in how and when we go.

me? i should start smoking crack, gotta drop those 50 lbs that won't leave ;)

or maybe it's hookers and blow? i have no idea what the current rock star lifestyle is :D i'll ask the skinny ones.

WW best of luck -- and if need be, try the meds or the nicotine gum.
yes they're crutches, but if that's what it takes to keep you from falling, use it for a month or 2 while the physical part of the addiction eases.

Thanks guys for the support,

I just woke up, I think ill be able to fight the craving, i think this time i will really quit, But im not happy about it and i think the biggest problem will be my attitude. A bowl helped but only for minutes :(

Im meeting up with some "friends" later and will burn off some excess anger in the ring at the gym. Fighting has always been the best "therapy" for me. At a minimum ill feel a little better, even if i lose every match. i Might have to start paying my gym dues again and use this as my therapy....

Nothing like getting punched in the face to make you CALM DOWN lmao.

Thanks for caring you guys!

One word: Vaseline, beeyotches.

Quiting smoking sucks. I don't envy you there. I smoked all through high school and college till I was in my mid 20"s. quit cold turkey. but I remember it not being fun. I cant imagine what it would be like had I smoked longer. suck even worse Im sure. Im so fond of beer that if I go a few days without it I start getting a craving for it. I should probably cut back but I don't think it will be as bad as something like smoking.

You CAN do it.
Decide to be happy about it and that it's a decision that you'd like to make for yourself anyway, not one being made for you.

You seem to have an addictive personality, and that's often driven by some other unresolved issues. Identify and acknowledge them so you can address head-on the stressors that cause you to self-medicate.

Kick the Nic!

I'm mildly addicted to caffeine. Without it for 24-36 hours I get a nasty headache, but after 48 I'm in the clear. I like the ritual more than the caffeine, honestly, but since it's not too terrible and I've been through stoppages.

Yes, very addictive personality... It sucks. I think its in my genetics. But i always need some sort of vice. I hate it.

I have issues- Tobacco is top of the list to fix though, the other issues i have no clue how to even begin. Thank you talking even a little about it helps a lot!

Time to go get punched in the face lmao have a good evening guys and thanks for caring. ill be back in a few hours, hopefully without 2 black eyes :)

Hang in there WW.

Damn, looks like Todd can do it all. That's fine leather work.

Invited my father in law over today for his favorite meal, spaghetti, and out of nowhere he asked us if we wanted to go to Vermont the first week of September, for a weeks all paid vacation. Uuuuum, sure. :D Then he says, what the hell, lets leave next Sunday. So, next Sunday we leave for Vermont. Really looking forward to getting away for a bit. The wife and I have been stressing a lot here lately. Plus, his summer home on the lake is freaking awesome. Beautiful area up there, a few miles from Canada.

Good luck WW.

Murph. So how much do you like Todd's dangler? Is his dangler a tight fit or is it loose? :D

Nice knife too.

Ah,you opened Pandoras box. I smoke for 15y now,and never tried to quit. It's too much joy in that,to much addiction,I don't know... But lately I have this thoughts, why I do it to myself ?
I smoke Davidoff, and here in Croatia, its about 4.5$ a box. And when you multiply it to 30,you get 135$ . This is damn fine Becker every month,or anything else, doesn't matter...

I just need to make that decision,to try it...but no luck so far...damn it.

Murph, are you going to rub some oil on Todd's dangler?
