Snarking after the gathering CHAT

Have a pot brewing and cleaning out the coffee travel mugs... Heading to Chicago today and putting it off cause, well, I don't want to!

I do want to go, just not under these circumstances.
 
Coffee downed and planned jobs for the day are complete. I just discovered the BRKT Pocket Bravo while looking at the BRKT Necker. This choice just became difficult.
 
Well drink that coffee up and look at all of those beautfiul rare Beckers I just put in the exchange. Its payday right? :D
 
I went with a Ocean prowler 13t, the reviews of it were pretty much all positive. Free shipping was good too. Now I need to track down all the other stuff to get in the water, roof racks etc. Debit card will be a melted puddle of plastic by monday.
 
I'm not sure if this pile of clothes in just a "pile of clothes" or a dead Jedi. I'll just let the wife pick them up...

Sorry for you loss Dubs, its never easy no matter how the person goes.

All the kayak talk has me thinking about getting something to play on the water with. I'm thinking canoe though, so the pooch an gf can go along. Any suggestions as to brands to look at?

I am happier then a fat kid in a candy/porn/cake store. Great score of stuff, I pulled into driveway and had a gleeful giggling fit.


Also bought a ''new'' mossberg 500 12G yesterday in a pawn shop, talked her down from 150$ to 50$ cuz it looks rough and needs a couple parts (slightly cracked buttstock and broken safety) neither of which makes the gun unusable.
 
Dubz - condolences. one of my cousins' hubby did that a few years back - noone knew he was unhappy. no note, nothing.
CB - having to go to Chicago is bad enough, but doing it for a funeral? I'd be dragging my feet, too.

Trade - you have 2 spare 'yaks & I have none? that doesn't sound very fair, does it? (unless you're bringing them to the "midway gathering" for me and my SWMBO to use, that is...) :D
 
Vik, we had to send the other two back to the factory when they switched us out. I'll bet I can scare one up for you though if you want to go.
 
we'll see -- like I said in the interest thread, i may be able to scare up a canoe as well. (unless you think it wouldn't fit where you're going)

also - right after I hit post on that last one, my dogs started going ballistic, so I looked out the window and there were 2 deer coming up out of the draw behind my pond. 150-175 yards, clear sight lines, taking their time... if only they'll behave that well about 6 months from now...
