Just to clear the air, I've noticed that the M-18 is attracting a lot of curious eyes. so just before things get out of hand on its conception and design I thought I would chime in. As much as I hate to admit it, Murph is a very smart young man with a lot of unique and interesting ideas. But the design of this knife was not his Bladite. You guys may or may not know that I made a WSK style knife for Murph about 5 years ago AKA The Grunt. Murph dragged me kickin and screamin on that knife because my personal opinion on the WSK is they suck! The Grunt has always hauted me because i new it could of been sooooooo much better, but Murph wanted a WSK so thats what he got. Whew! Now, fast forward to about 4 months ago. Murph wanted something new to take to the gathering. He showed me a picture of the Parang. (good eye Bladite) when I saw it I knew this was my chance to redeam myself from The Grunt. The Parang, like the WSK looked cool but I saw several things I thought would make it better and I had no desire to relive The Grunt experience. so to the drawing board I went. After the exchange of a few e-mailed pictures accompanied by my reasoning for the changes, Murph was on board. Thus, I give you the M-18. which Murph named after the M-18 claymore mine that lays waiste to all in its path. As far as specifics on the knife, Murph and I are going to do a full pictoral and review as soon as we can get together next. So thank you for all of the intrest, and stay tuned, its gonna be a good show. T.M. Hunt
