Snarking in a Becker Wonderland

couple years ago I had a caliper seize - $500 to replace it and the rotor it killed (and the other side as well, as a preventive measure)
3 days after getting the truck back, it split a line -- apparently there was enough added pressure when everything worked right that it popped a weak spot in the 12 year old line...

That new found pressure works in potable water systems also. Fix one, then look for the new leak, repeat.
Hey Warrior, any breakdown you walk away from is a good breakdown. Imagine if that was airplane hydraulics failing.

Freakin brakes went out on me, on the way home from work. They were very stiff, got to the stop sign, tried pumping them a bit, then it gave all of a sudden, ad the pedal went to the floor. Luckily, I was only a few blocks from home. Added a little fluid to it, and tried pumping them a bit, but there was nothing there. Backed out, and could see the fluid in the snow, by the driver rear wheel. Woo hoo. Drove it to the service station, and walked home. A good way to end my crappy day at work.
If the county has been spraying pickle juice on the roads that's the problem. It's notorious for eating out break lines and break calipers

Never heard of that before. They use salt around here.
They spray this liquid concoction on the roads before a snow storm. It dries and keeps the snow or ice from sticking to the road Extremely corrosive in liquid form. They spray it down like wetting a 1/4 mile dirt track, tanker trucks with spray bars.

The dip is to lay your index finger in for control with things like cleaning and skinning if I am not mistaken.

I got a new saw for backpack camping, and also finally got some stainless hardware for my BK20, considering I bought it on the first day it was available it’s been too long with the old rusty stuff on it. The pic I took of them both actually captures how much use I’ve put on the 20, it’s been a workhorse for me since day one; best Becker knife ever.
