Snarking in the New Year! - now without forum breaking discontent

That last part was really the only thing I was worried about.

We had duck for dinner....actually TWO ducks as there were 8 mouths to feed. Tasty. Merry Christmas and happy Festivus to everyone. Funny how the Airing of Grievances happens whether you formally celebrate Festivus or not. 'Twas a nice day here in ME where my folks live. Went out to Maine Botanical Gardens to see their outstanding Christmas lights display.

Thank goodness that's over!!!! I had three knives waiting in the Xmas presents and the wait was killing me. Been carrying two of the three all day, using them to cut everything needed.

Now, I can't wait until spring when my buying power will be at full strength.

It's 22 degrees outside but with the windchill it feels like getting beat with a sock full of nails.

No sign of a PS+ subscription up here. The bundle in this part of the world includes Battlefront and God of War.
 
Some of the more outdoorsy haul. A nice insulated denim shirt, 2 Gander Mountain seat cushions (I guess she thinks I have a wide ass, haha), 8oz Stanley flask, and the Condor Primitive Bush Knife:

Sweet haul Warrior!

Trapping is no fun Psyop, we just hang out by the pond and shoot them up at my brother's place. Them and beavers. Smash up the dam and get the water flowing, take em out as they come to fix it :D

I got snarked into a bike project for a little girl. She's been riding her brother's hand-me-down bike, and she decided she wants it pink. So we tore it down after lunch and started sanding. Little bit muggy to spray paint today. I think the humidity is about 3000%. But we're set when we get a better day. To her credit, she worked her little butt off with with the tear-down and sanding.

Makes me wish I had a sandblaster though.

I remember watching The Captain and Tennille Show when I was younger.
And good for you for spending quality time with your daughter. Would love to see the finished project.

Sadly, I remember watching it, too....the Captain was SO inscrutable, and Toni Tennille...well, I felt as if she was talking to my teenage soul with that song ;).

Gunyon, I don't want to see only the finished project. I want to see the process, too. Me, I just bailed and found a pink bike for her from CL. I've painted a few bikes in my life, but for a bike soon to be outgrown and passed along for a Jackson, I couldn't see putting in the effort involved.

I remember the Captain and Tennille show as well. I wasn't quite in my teens back then, but I sure do miss those times.
