Oh, and I could mention that I over paid for a KBD1 today...but it completes my modern discontinued Ka-Bars. That one has been the hardest to come by.

Pics or it didn't happen. :D

Yeah...it hasn't happened yet...

stupid post office geography miles other states and cities and distance and stuff why does everything have to be so complicated etc....

Charged $10 shipping so it better be here by Saturday or I'm giving a negative feedback and kill their %100 positive lol. Plus it was listed "blade untouched from factory" and swedge has been sharpened lol...and "pommel shows wear from being carried" obviously shows to have been beating on a nail.

So I sent a message 6 days before the end and pointed out how it's misleading because Ka-Bar did not sharpen the swedge....fact! And they replied "thanks for the info" and didn't change the listing.

But... I knew what I was getting into and I'll strip it down and freshen it up proper. But yeah...$10 shipping better not be 7-9 days...

Completes my 1253,1246,1247,1264,1273 search collection discontinued thingy lol

The only other would be the magical mystical unicorn fabled mysterious plane edged 1245 of which I've heard exists as a 1244 but have never confirmed...
This is all talk for the other forum tho...

An artist is always his own worst critic. From what I've seen your plain Jane leather is very straight and right on, your fancier snakeskin inlays etc are badass! I wouldn't get hung up on it bro, you do some nice work!

I can feel your pain sort of, just fartin around with my dinky stuff, I can settle for good enough.
When your selling your art to a paying customer its a head game. I'm sure you see things nobody else will ever notice.

I appreciate and understand what your saying. I probably am my worst critic, but now that I do this for a living I always ask myself what I would buy. Truthfully, there are soooo many gifted craftsmen out there. Its inspiring to say the least. In my position though, its intemedaiting. So, any shortcomings I think I have, I have to improve on them. The devils in the details. If I dont pay attention to them, someone else will. Thats whats so cool about this trade. I don't think you ever master it. There's always room to better yourself. I've never been number 1 at anything in my life. Nor will I most likely. But it's really cool to be able to narrow it down to one thing to try to be. Aside from a father and husband of coarse.

Well said. That's the push you need to keep the passion for your craft. The day that goes away and you think you have it perfected is probobly the day it burns out.

I have that little flame as probably many of us do. Beckers have allowed me to mod and play with it. But what guys like you, JT, JD, Daizee, Dex, and others have done is very admirable and allow us to live vicariously through watching you work and developed your style and products. It's really cool that we can be a part of it and you allow us in and share everything.

Nice collection. Very nice

Thanks man, been about a year long search. I'm surprised I acquired them in that time and at very decent rate, except for the incoming 1273, but it evens out lol. I'll do a write up in the Ka-Bar sub when they're all together.

Amen. That's exactly what I love about knifemaking. There's just so many amazing things to get better at, and much fun to track your progression. Especially when your first knife sucks as much as mine did.

22 posts to go. What's taking you guys so long?

Ugh. I've been awake now for about 21 hours and I've got 9 hours before my shift ends. Tried to get some sleep today before work but it just wasn't hapening. Luckily I'm alotted some time to break off and hit the gym so I'm going to do that here in an hour or so. hopefully between that and the caffine I can power through.
