GSOM, are winter shorts extra warm? I knew a guy in grad school from NY who would wear shorts with snow on the ground. It was a bit hard to see from under my giant parka so I couldn't tell if they were regular shorts or something different.
 
I turn around for one minute and there's a new snark thread and I'm SEVEN pages late! In on seven cos I like.. um.. ahhhh whatever. Nevermind..

Yeah......no. Not as far as I know are there any such thing as insulated shorts. It's mostly a goof on people who wear them pretty much year round even in the face of decidedly NON-shorts weather. Now, I will admit to wearing shorts down to temps in the high 30's as long as it's not windy - but only because I'm comfortable. I make fun of people, but sometimes I AM one of those people.
Excuse me while I change out of my house shorts into actual pants so I can go and shovel snow. Today is definitely NOT shorts weather in the Granite State (of mind).

I am good thanks. I got home from work about an hour ago and now I'm doing the going to bed ritual odd catching up on social stuff. How are you? Did I miss anything important?

Not here, but over in the Sword forum, you missed an epic burn-out - from joined to banned in right at 6 hours, and the only reason it took that long was that the moderator went to supper for a couple of hours.

pfft, im on the same parallel as northern California ;)

I changed into my winter shorts at the beginning of December. Its more of a monthly basis thing, weather is not really a deciding factor. + or - its all the same over here.

Well I did just this, I found a couple Stevens for around $170, some bo name junk guns for around $130 and a 410 h&r for $200, so that was a bust. however I did find a Spanish 7mm mauser for right around $200 I might go pick up. I also ended up with a nice little case slip joint for $10, according to the tang stamp, it was made between 192p and 1940
