Nice try, Noswad...

The problem with making up jargon is that LHB could also stand for "leather handled bowie," or a variety of other things in Ka-bar's catalogue. LTB and LMB would be a stretch. Not sure what the addition of an AA does for you in YMMV either, and it's not something that generally gets used with TTYL.

YAPP, SOY.

Kazoos are the bomb.

Everybody who doesn't have a 4 is missing out on a fundamental part of life.

I'll ditto this gospel!

Not having a Machax is like trying to eat dinner with a wierd spork from KFC.
It's unatural and shouldn't be legal.

If Ka-Bar had made the BK4 1/4" thick instead of 3/16" I would have ordered one when they first came out. I'm told that the older versions pre-KB were ~.21" thick and chopped better.

Id love 1/4" machax. That would be awesome really... But the BK4 is pretty sweet as is IMO.

The parangatang is a decent chopper for a thinner blade... But the handle hurts my hand after a couple minutes of use. Id have already ground down the hump... But i dont wanna mess up the ironwood scales LOL

Sadly, I do not have a 4 either. I've been meaning to get one, but I always find something else I want more. I've got my eye on a Spyderco Gayle Bradley folder, whose cost is dang near triple what a 4 would cost. Besides, its really hard to justify another big knife to the wife after I made such a stink to her about getting a 9 with micarta and a 710 sheath. After I got that, she thought I was done with big knives, and just rolls here eyes when I mention I need another one (the 4). It's difficult to have a spouse understand the want/need for things that are perhaps, not really needed. We've been on a very specific budget for many years now. And to her credit (and my chagrin) she keep us in line.

My marrage = same way

I did say if the RBK gets released this year I'm getting it! Made sure that one was put in the budget ;)

I must be a bad teenager, most of these acronyms mean nothing to me

I agree, the 4 is by far my favorite large blade. ( then again I haven't tried a 9 yet )

If someone could make a parangatang with becker handles, it would be unstoppable

you need to learn how to use it. don't blame the tool :D

hold it with with a looser grip than you probably are, and snap cut more. like with a khukri holding the ring finger ridge

My will is weakening and waiting on the BK21 is making it harder and harder to say 'no' to a 4.

I said "no" to the 4....but it just wouldn't listen. Now I have two. One for grinding on, and the other to chop with as is - thank you Ka-Bar and Ethan!

Using it as a machete, (i guess as it was designed to be used) doing snap cuts and all is fine.... Power (speed) chopping... The hump is exactly where id want to choke up on the handle.

It would be more versatile for me without the hump is all im saying :D

WW, how are you liking that new blade? I'm thinking it might make for a nice hunting knife

Loving it! It will be riding on my belt this weekend and getting a bit of a workout. It has great ergos and just looks amazing. One of my favorites already. I had to go cut a few sticks with it just to make sure i didnt get weak and try and make her a safe queen LOL

Who is the first guy?
