Them 2 would definitely handle anything id need to do... And i am going right back to the woods for 2 more nights in 2 more weeks so i guess i could just do a couple blades on the over nighter, and then put some choppers to work on the full weekender.

But ill still take the chopweiler too.... Just because 3 = 1. And really because i dont have a sheath for the mmd yet so it will stay at camp in my bag... But i like having a decent sized blade on my belt when im prancing and skipping through the bushes alone :D

Plus i just got the new sheath for the weiler and want to give tek-lok one last chance.


Sounds like a great time fishing brother! Im jealous. Id personally prefer the better fight to the bigger fish. I fish for fun more than food, even though i love to eat fish thats not what makes me want to go out there and throw out some line. Hell personally id rather catch 10-15 small feisty ones that im throwing back than just a few keepers... More fun to me. Hell you can use a small rod and reel and make them little bream fight like killer whales LOL
 
Lol. For some reason I knew your choppy would go with you. It would be tough to carry that MMD around without a sheath.

I love the fight too. I wish they all fought like that one pike did today. It was really fun. I let the pike go and kept the walleye tonight. I knew I was going to be late and pike are a slimy mess to clean, so I clean them at the fish cleaning station instead of at home. Fish station is closed at 10, so cleaning pike was a no go. I like to keep fish, but I do let a lot go if iI have some in my freezer. Pretty soon I'll be doing some catch and release...........freezer is getting a decent amount of fillets in it. Misti doesn't eat fish, so I usually only put 3 or 4 fillets in a package.
 
I suppose you could say I have extra. I don't have duplicates but I have so many and a lot of them I don't even use. I mean, why bother with the LHB when I already know the BK9 is better? And I sure as heck didn't need that Parangatang I ordered since I have 3 traditional machetes, a bushcraft parang, a grass machete, and a Crocodillian Machete. But why the heck not, right?

Maybe I should get a BK4 just because...

Well i did rig the factory parangatang sheath up to hold the MMD for now.... But that WONT be going on any belt of mine LOL... Good enough for the pack though. The weiler is sitting pretty so ill rock that new kydex LOL

Man i thought about doing some fishing while out this weekend, or in the next 2 weeks... But id need a new rod/reel... and a fishing license.... Then im moving... I decided i could wait another month to fish, even though i dont like it HA.

May or may not sneak into the bushes with this cheap travel fishing pole i got that has its own travel case and fits in my 3 day pack... I can walk into the woods with that still in the pack and fish a little, pack it up when im done and wonder back into camp with none the wiser.... Im sure Neko would like a fresh one to play with LOL

Thinking about it... The LHB and Warthog are 2 i could live without. Just due to the handles. I keep trying to love them, but keep failing LOL

Oh and the Spyderco Dog tag... Its a neat idea.... But i really wouldnt miss that one either.

Hmmm.... if i sell the 3 of those i might could get a new toy HAHA... See... never fails!!


But yea... You need a 4. I like it more than the 9... Due to "coolness" not performance really but still.

Sadly, I do not have a 4 either. I've been meaning to get one, but I always find something else I want more. I've got my eye on a Spyderco Gayle Bradley folder, whose cost is dang near triple what a 4 would cost. Besides, its really hard to justify another big knife to the wife after I made such a stink to her about getting a 9 with micarta and a 710 sheath. After I got that, she thought I was done with big knives, and just rolls here eyes when I mention I need another one (the 4). It's difficult to have a spouse understand the want/need for things that are perhaps, not really needed. We've been on a very specific budget for many years now. And to her credit (and my chagrin) she keep us in line.
 
Way off topic here: And totally Rhetorical; Why is it important, or a thing, concerning the "born on date" for the Chris Reeve Sebenza? I can understand specific dates that might be memorable, but I don't quite get it being criteria for a certain knife. Imagine if I wanted to get a Sebenza with my kid's birthdate on it. I'd have to search high and low for years and years......with no guarantee a knife was even "born on" that specific date. Imagine that date was a day when the shop was closed. Seems a bit silly to me. LOL
 
You guys, I love the LHB. I also love the 9's handle.. But the LHB is a beast of a full flat grind + unbreakable. The original warthog is my favorite knife. Lay off the hate.

I'm not compelled to get a 4 because I want an RBK.. To me getting something else in the meantime is not just as good

I like the handle and the Heavy Warthog was a had-to-have. That thing is beastly.

Those Hunt straight-4's are pretty sick. If he gets convinced to expand his limited run I would have to throw down the coin.

I love the first Warthog but I think WW meant the Heavy Warthog. And the LHB is a good knife, but the BK9 works better. And if I wanna hate hate hate hate hate, then I will. Then maybe I'll play play play play play too. Especially with Taylor Swift.
