Yup. Moved the hammock and playhouse away from the sketchy tree of death.
The Buggles - which was basically just Geoff Downes from Yes...and Trevor Horn, from just about everywhere. First video played on MTV - that song is IMO the best earworm ever crafted. Been listening to a lot of up-tempo Celtic and prog/rock/alt-Celtic (wordless, mostly) music while woodshop werking....keeps me focused and moving along at least as well as any ADHD meds I've tried. Good for driving distances, too - for me, at least.Video kills the radio star.
I was useless today.
But on Saturday we went for a half-day hike that just about killed me (heat, dehydration), but made it. And yesterday I spent 5 hours in the forge walking a friend's partner thru forging a garden trowel. HOT and sweaty, omg. so.. pretty useless today.
Gotta couple of Civivi folders, and they perform a lot like 14C28N, but I think Nitro V would be a good candidate for a fixed blade.
Easy to see the advantages of cordless tools, but I've still got my full gamete of corded tools. I pulled out the corded chainsaw to remove a bad oak limb from our 56 year old coast live oak. I tied it off through a carabiner to a higher branch, and lowered it after the cut. It was quite the wrecking ball as it swung!
Nothing like a heavy duty thread injector and some leftover bits to tackle the tactical tie strap...woah! Cool technique.
I bashed the new off the Keppoon with some dried downed maple bits before packing it just to make sure there wasn't some hidden weakness. Came through fine and the carnage washed right off:

Also prepped a cinch-strap with some no-longer-climbing-worthy webbing and reclaimed buckles from a decommissioned pack. Then immediately needed it to compress my sleeping bag into the NEW pack. Yay fabric arts!:
