I'm gonna try some alpaca socks and beanie. Spose ta be softer and warmer than wool.
Being from socal, I don't do cold very well. 😬 😁

New tool, cool tiny hatchet.

Been trying to keep up here, but this logging you out every 30 days is a pain in the butt. I kept my email attached to this account on my tablet, which I broke a while back. Finally put the email on my phone, so I can sign back in when it signs me out.

Dubs, how do you like the little holystone? Misti bought me a cheap drone somewhere online that came with three batteries, but they only lasted three or four minutes each. Then the third or fourth time I went to use it one of the motors quit working. I'm looking for something to play with in the house and learn on.

I think post number are reason for new snak threads, not seasons iirc... Dont now i500 or 1000 ....

I like the HS okay. It's very basic, but does have the capability of hovering unassisted. You can adjust the trim, if it doesn't hover in one place. Definitely for indoor use. Mine also came with 3 short life batteries. Of course, they're very small.

I ordered one last night. It'll give me something to play with. Needed a couple things from Amazon, so I threw it in the cart as well.

I was reading the sales page of the HS210, and it claimed the batteries lasted 7 minutes each. Realistically, that probably means 5 1/2 - 6 minutes each. Also, they were $5 cheaper when I bought it. I bought a case for mine. Nice to have a custom fitted case.

it was -1 at 2 am when the dogs went out for 1/2 hour of borking at the moon. (not a typo - it's what Fuzzy actually sounds like)
it was 2 when I rolled out of the blankets to feed them breakfast.
that's the forecast high until tuesday afternoon with wind chills in the -25 to -35 range for the next 4 days.
we're supposed to be below 0 by noon and not get back above 0 until Monday afternoon.
low tonight is -16, lows tomorrow and Monday nights are supposed to be -12.
not supposed to get back up above freezing until Monday the 22nd.

OTOH, the snow currently coming down is gorgeous.

OMG wow.

We've had several torrential rains in a row here in Rhody. 3 bridges in town are still closed. The dam behind the outing store at the bottom of my hill (where I consign blades) was ROARING yesterday - Mack let me go out back and check it out.

Winters have been progressively warmer and wetter here. While I've appreciated not having to shovel so much, the flooding is problematic. Not as bad as up nawth, but not nothing.

We'll get some of the chill later this week, but expect it to be in the "normal" January range.

I mailed off a Kephart/AuK5 to a fellow in Michigan and he got snowed out of his office and can't pick it up for days. Tragedy!

we topped out at -3 today, currently -6, supposed to drop to -15 tonight
High tomorrow +3, may get up to 11 or 12 on Tuesday
