Got to fittin' the new blower and the old brake drum together Saturday. I fired it up to see how it held a fire. Today with yesterday's attempt in mind, I had a bit better pyromaniacal experience. 😁
The west coast ain't known for coal deposits, so I'm just burnin' scrap wood. Not too bad a fuel for the price, and I can dip my toe into forging. Saturday I bent this old mechanical jack handle into a fire pot tender. We be forgin'! 😗

Very cool! I like how you repurposed the brake drum.

I play drums, and the drum brake is used as an instrument as well!

I hope you are all settling into a comfortable and happy holiday season.

Over time, I have learned real joy is found in serving others. Tonite, our church is hosting its annual Women's dinner. Spouses cook, decorate, serve, and clean up.

It is a wonderful thing to see not only the wives enjoy the evening, but even more so the elder widows.

Got my Atom all hooked up and updated the app, and firmware, did the compass calibration, etc. Anxious to fly, but it's been very windy here. Waiting for a good day. Very excited to take my bird up for the first time.
 
I have mixed feelings with drones . I can see usefulness but there's Lot of potential for abuse I don't think they should be allowed to fly over private property without permission.

It's like guns and many other things...only bad in the wrong hands. 400 ft high is the max legal limit.That's where I'll more than likely keep it at. Private property refers to land, air space is another animal controlled by the FAA. I do understand what you're saying though.

I know about the FAA stuff I used it many years ago with a deer I killed. Shot from my mother's property at a deer on my cousin's property across a cranky old man property.
The problem is the high definition camera that can look in people's windows and inside privacy fences . There was talk of being able to put in your address and being able to black out your property but nothing came of it.. public areas I have o problem and I think it is slick to drop bait off in places you can't cast too
P.S. with some of the Hi-Tech tungsten turkey loads I can reach 400 ft with my 10 gauge (only for abusing I.E. looking in window or something like that)

I've been lazy here lately. Not good. I feel like crap just from sitting around too much.
