So I don't know how to multiquote on this new format from my phone.

It should be the same across all platforms:

Hit the '+Quote' button:

multi1.PNG

Hit it again if you want to deselect the quote:

multi2.PNG

At the bottom under the reply text box to the left you'll see the 'Insert Quotes' button, click that:

multi3.PNG

At the bottom of the window that pops up, just click the 'Quote These Messages' button:

That's it, it'll then fill in all the quotes into the reply box for you to use in your multi-quote reply.

so I came into possession of a table saw this summer. Have been playing around with it on and off. Decided to try my hand at making my own bucksaw:

Works pretty damn good if I do say so myself. Just finished up a second one for my stepson, for Christmas.

Now that is fantastic, nicely done! Now I want to make one...

You’ve been tempted. No turning back now. Might as well not fight it...

Surprisingly we’re not even close to having any ice here yet. Going thru a weird hot-cold phase (I guess I should say warm-cool) where we get a dusting of snow, then temps climb back up to well above average for a week. Isn’t even getting below freezing overnight yet. Looks to be a while before I’ll be drilling any holes...

Yeah, I bought the Native and decided to give another rod I bought late last year another chance. I still might order the rod, but it will have to wait until later though.

We have a lot of cold and then warm days lately too. It was in the 70s last Thursday and Friday. We have our first winter storm that's supposed to hit us in the morning. Sounds like mostly wind with an inch or two of snow.

Thanks for the tutorial King. I'll give it a whirl the next time I want to multiquote.

if you want to try a different color without a lot of chemicals, try rubbing your oak boards with vinegar -- they turn grey to black, depending on how strong it is, how much you use, and how long you let it set before rinsing it off.
the acetic acid reacts with the tannic acid in the oak, which is the same reaction as a vinegaroon job on leather, where the residual tannins in the leather react. (this is where "the word "tanning hides" comes from -- they used to boil oak leaves and wood chips to make a tannic acid solution to soak the leather in -- among other substances...)

Nice. I vinegarooned the leather holding straps for mine. Just regular vinegar on the wood? Will have to try that sometime.

yup -- handles on this are black oak wiped down with white vinegar -- 30 seconds later, water rinse, let dry, lightly sand to clean up the "fuzzies", and dunk in danish oil to seal the pores.

1066vik 1066vik Growing up in the Florida swamps I was always surrounded by what we call black water. It is actually a very dark brown. It gets its color from all of the rotten vegetation in the water. Tannins. I was acquainted with a member of the Seminole Nation by the name of Paul Morrison. Cocuchi (spelling) Which means Swamp Owl in Seminole. He told me that the Seminole people use the black water and brains to tan deer hides. I never tried it with a deer hide but I have used the black water on rabbit hides. With mixed results.

Back in the '70's, I remember learning in Boy Scouts that brains were used for tanning hides. I think I did that with a squirrel and had some success. I had never heard about the black water. I may have to try that if we butcher extra goats (assuming we have some) next spring.

"Every animal has enough brains to preserve its hide, dead or alive."

Nope, never tried that method. Tried to 'naturally' tan a groundhog hide once. Ended up with a giant pork rind. Kept it as a reminder to never do that again.

When I was a kid I tried to make a belt out of a eastern diamond back. The skin was as delicate as a 48 inch fluorescent bulb:(

Does your current set actually make the cut?

What are you using?

My favorite pair are my over-the-ear Audio-Technica ATH-M50X's.

Full, rich sound. Best listening pair of headphones I've every owned, but they are big and bulky for public use and cord management can be an issue.

I just purchased a pair of Sennheiser HD1's.

I'm not sure if they do make the cut. I haven't gotten them fully broken in yet (only about 7 hours of listening so far).
I like how light they are and that they are cordless. Their sound is really clear. You can really hear every instrument. But, the sound seems a bit...thin? Maybe it's too highs oriented? I'm no audiophile, so I don't really have the right words. I'm not a big bass guy, but these seem a little lacking in that department even for me. I find myself wondering if part of it is due to being Bluetooth, but again, I'm not sure. I'll put in my 20 hours of break in and reevaluate.

I also need to find some more comfortable tips for them.

Especially when listening to Bocephus.

And Metallica.
