Sneak Peek At The Busse Combat SH1 Anniversary Knife!!!!!

Do you fellas think that Jerry meant there was going to be a limited number of Heavy Ordinace Grade (HOG) or that there was a special inducted "HOG" version?

Hard telling with Jerry, Just depends on how much JWB is available and what is lying around. Then if the janitor screws up and uses the wrong plate thickness, there could be thin or thick ones!

I agree with Rat, I would like to see the logo remain small, maybe the special 15th Anny. marked on the spine so as to keep the blade clean.

Looks like I had better send Jerry another case of JWB!!!!! :D Ducci I was thinking the same thing about marking the spine, that would be cool but it really limits the logo to text. Not much of a worry to some, more of a worry to others I imagine.

This updated version of the original Steel Heart will NEVER be offered again!!!. . .

These will be offered like our other models, with a variety of blade finishes and handle material choices. . . .

The Limited Edition will be the official anniversary model and will be the only one to bear the 15th anniversary logo.

A Special Edition HOG version will be available in VERY LIMITED quantities!!!!

Nuke On !!!!

Jerry

Christmas in June!:D

I'm taking no chances: I'll take 3!

From earlier in this thread, Jerry said that inductees would get a special price (and possibly a pre-release offer- my W.A.G/assumption) but it sounds like the HOG version refers to Heavy Ordnance Grade, blade thickness 5/16 in. +, and will be made in limited quantity for first come, first served jostling at the Combat site trough. Or not, if the inductees get first crack and eat them all. Regardless, there should be enough of the rest to go around. Oh boy! Can't wait! WOO HOO and other happy noises. Pete

Now, back to an updated guesstimate of 'very reasonably priced'. Key assumption : The inductees get the equivalent of one of Jerry's special dog tags without having to solve puzzles or get dirty in the process. I'll guess that a basic Combat Grade will go for $ 327 , optional finishes and handles close to standard bump, LE adds approx $ 160 and the HOG for $ 260 over CG. Am I getting close, INFImeister Jerry ? Pete

oh

my

god.

i need to go have a heart attack.

That needs repeatin!

I see an LE or two in my future. I revise - Thinking $497 for LE. Then a couple in DC.

Come on, Jerry. Bring back the black smoothcoat on this one. I think that would be uber-cool. Just this once!!!!!

If HOG means thicker, I'm passing. That's OK. But if it's some special wickit-cap'n-cool-man thing that only Hogs will get, then I'm bummed I'm not a Hog. :(

A cheaper price would be a cool thing, but I'm buyin either way and won't get sour grapes at all over pricing. I've got a few I can liquidate to fill up on SH-1's. :D

Oh I can't wait. This makes my summer. The KILLER is going to be waiting until October to get these. ROTFL!!!! Remember, Jerry has to:

Finish the BATAC's
Finish the last of the GW's (if this is really the end - one never knows) and FBM's for the Co Store
Make a few BATAC's for the Co Store
Finish the Milganza knives. . . which I suspect is a hefty project
Produce the Sus Scrofa's

Rock-tober. I can wait. Provided I know that they are coming, my INFI BP is dropping. My strong desire for a pre-E-series SH has dropped to near-zero. It'd have to drop in my lap to get it now. Whew!

I have put off getting a couple knives to save up for this one. I am hopeing for a doublecut and black G10. Even though I am not a Hog I do think they deserve something special for giving so much support over the years. Congrats Jerry and good luck for the next 25.

I was getting weak on the Sus, but with this coming down the pipe, I'll hold off to save some room on the CC. Hopefully the "standard" versions will be in line with the pricing of the last Steelhearts, instead of the FBM.

Hmm shame Jerry didn't go for a straight scale profile or even a smooth radius.. That scalloped leading edge just looks wrong imho.. So many historic profiles to choose from and he did that to such a beautiful, practical knife!

As long as the crystal balls are out and swingin'! ;)

The Proto will appear at Blade along with the open orders for different Anni variations on the web site. This one is truly awesome and has somewhat quelled my desperate longing for that "right" SFNO (DC/satin. Mag grips. Plain edge.)

Guesses? HOG/LE will be available to anyone on the site. Either a special price and/or combo will be made for inducted HOGs. Not too worry... Many, if not all of you, will qualify via an online induction. There just might be some speculating middleman buyers who don't qualify. :)

This just might be "the" knife for me! I wonder what kind of wild incentive combo Skunk will end up getting?

(Jonas- I'll take yours. ;) )

That new Busse is high art. That is one beautiful knife. I want one exactly like the one in the picture.

I don't presently own an official Busse knife - just Swamp Rats and Scrap Yards, which I love! However, that could change if the price is right!;) Tom
