Nice one Jerry, way to think out of the box. I ddin't expect one like this, but really think you nailed it. Hope you sell a boatload of them at Arkansas, that's the perfect venue to release this blade.

That's a good lookin' Bowie, Bossman! Interesting micarta handle and guard too. :)
Although I was surprised at the thickness being .320", I know that you know what you're doing! ...So I can hardly wait to handle this beast and see for myself how cool it is in the hand.

Beautiful knife .... the spec's intrigue me .... .32 tapering where the clip begins won't be as heavy as people think ... my clip point FSH in .32 is lighter or more "balanced" than you might ever imagine from the thickness figure ... also the thickness of the guard will bring some of the balance and counter weight back towards the handle .... it looks like the size of the guard is designed to work like that .... it also looks like it could parry a MOAB and not blink .... so I suspect it will still feel "disarmingly" fast .... and with the true weight of the total package creating momentum .... "disarmingly" could well describe it's performance potential too :D I think it would work well as a fighter

Wish I was going to the show .... certainly looking forward to the feed back on how these feel ....

Named for both its obvious lineage to the Battle Mistress and the Pappy VanWinkle I had in my glass when we chose this as our first project for the new Custom Shop Line. . .

The Busse Custom Shop is proud to introduce the "Battle Pappy".

The Battle Pappy has a Coffin shaped handle cut from a single block of approx. 1" thick canvas micarta. It also features a full-height flat grind, full-length hidden tang, and two lash down holes in the guard!!!
