Looks interesting but not a fan of the guard. It seems thick for my taste and I am not in general a fan of guards.

Also is 0.320 really necessary? It seems a bit too thick for a bowie, but I'm sure Jerry knows that he is doing!. For a field blade it seems like a thick chunk of weight to add to your loadout.

Still very nice for people who love the design!

My perfect Bowie would be :

Style : Busse Blue grass bowie
Blade length : 11" to 12"
Blade thickness : 0.220 to 0.250
Blade finish : Satin
Weight : 21 oz to 26 oz
Steel : INFI
Handles: Red and black magnum micarta handles.

guess we can all dream... ;) At least my wallet is safe for now lol!

Crap! I just don't care for Bowies, but this is an excellent incarnation of the design. The handle is beautiful and the detail is killer. Congrats to Jerry for yet another awesome interpretation, and congrats to those who score one.

The Pappy is great in hand, deceptively VERY fast and nowhere near as heavy as the specs make it out to be. I wasn't into it until I held it and this one is a true masterpiece.

As much as I like the Bowie ..... the other one you are holding keeps catching my eye .... did you manage to get that KZ ? Congrats if so .... :thumbup:
 
Man that thing looks better every time i look at it. Notice on the right side of the blade it says Field Grade. Maybe a return of the field grade?
 
Who can take the classic Bowie Knife and improve it...
