Snow, Snow, and more SNOW!!! Yuck!

On New Year's Eve around 8:00 PM it started out as light, sparkly, and quite beautiful. For a moment I actually thought that I was living inside of a snow globe all calm, and pretty. :) Then it really started piling up and the wind picking up speed. This is the part of Winter that I really don't enjoy...I am more than ready for Summer!! I just want to wear a sun dress out on my patio while sipping on some sweet tea with the sun on my face.

Here are a few pictures of my drive to work yesterday morning.

The plows were really on top of things..:p


After work I had to shovel my driveway that had 3-4 foot drifts on it. That really had me work up an appetite and since it took me 2 hours to shovel I decided I was better off going out to eat. I see this in the parking lot, looks like some people really enjoy driving in this junk!


Show off!:rolleyes:Did not want to give up a parking space to a pile of snow.

I can't believe you had to shovel your own snow, if you were my neighbor I would of taken care of that for you. :thumbup:

The first snow or 2 are always cool, after that it's a pain in the rear. In n.c. We haven't had any snow, just cold wet, rain. Today it's 27 degrees, but no snow. I'll take some of that snow.:D

Yup, it's gonna be a long winter.
Midwest, East Coast all getting their share.
Supposed to be 3 degrees for a high on Monday after 6-9” of snow on Sunday.
Gonna need more firewood!!

We did hit 11F here in Portland, OR, which is cold for us. I spent two years in northern Indiana. Positive memories - but you can have that winter!

In contrast, I spent two years in San Diego. If I did not have family/friends/roots in Portland - I might live there.

Stay warm all, spring is just around that (long) corner!

I know what you mean! It's gonna be about 65 here today, I might need to wear a liner in my jacket to go for a ride!
 
I didn't have to run the aircon all day yesterday and I was able to sleep with just the fan on last night, day before yesterday was just horrible, if you listened a little you could hear the lawn scream as it was roasted to death..... ;)
 
Ya know Lexi, this would be the PERFECT time for a Busse crew field trip to Cali or AZ...
We'd love to see you all for a show out here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbup:
It's sunny and 76 here in SoCal right now... Am I tempting you yet?!? :D

This is why I moved from NY to NC, no snow as far as the eye can see =]
 
there is more on the way! they say another 8 to 10 inches on Sunday. I'm alright with it. if its going to be as cold as it is around here we may as well have some snow to go with it.
 
It was an incredibly scary drive home yesterday! But it is sooo pretty :thumbup: Well, its pretty until you have to walk in it :D
 
This is my favorite part of winter! I love the snow, and I've been catching grumbles for it ever since the snow started piling up. Snow at least gives you something to do in the cold. I'd rather have snow and cold weather than just cold weather. :thumbup: I say bring it on!

I am on my way right now! I need out of town before Sunday, lol. Do I have to bring a show with me?
 
Yep got 5-9 inches of the powdery white stuff here too. Getting really cold out to temps supposed to hit -20F and that's without windchill !!! Ugh

Of course, I don't think any of us out West would complain if you kidnapped Hammy and his show kit and brought him in your luggage! ;)
