Snow??? Yeah... Here In Penn's Woods, We Got a Little...

thank's jaxx,
sorry about richard cranium
rich, very nice photo's:thumbup:

OP, my blower got overwhelmed in the last big snow. It would have been no match for this one. I'm in McLean, so I know what you mean. It's times like these it's good to have a strong son in law.

Man this really makes me miss the snow!!! I am sorry for y'all who are snowed in but ... at this point I really wouldn't mind being snowed in. 9 years since I have felt snow. Rhi doesn't remember it at all. Dwayne is the one that is not convinced. ;)

Sigh. So, so true.

Fortunately, Woody, my own kids decided to help me out today. I figure we'll have a clear route to the street by 2 pm. What happens after that is anybody's guess.

I'm thinking there'll be no work for me on Monday.:grumpy:

On the positive side, it's quite pretty out there. Without sunglasss, I'd succumb to snow blindness.

Anybody seen any sign of the Abominable Snowman yet?:confused:

My in-laws are in Columbia, MD. They got 30" at the house and lost part of a fir tree. Fortunately, they didn't lose power, although most of the neighbors did. They've been hosting a bunch of hot meals for everyone who needs it.

I'm here in Vancouver, BC - Home of the 2010 Spring Olympics! Warmest January on record and we are trucking in snow for some of the events!

Go figure.

Wow... I'm whupped... It didn't help the job any by driving in & out yesterday to get gas (which I forgot about) :yawn:, but at least the snow thrower that I haven't used in about 4 years still got the job done! :thumbup: I must've spent about 5 minutes hugging that thing when it immediately fired up today ;) LOL. Even with that machine, it still took about 4 hours, but it beats the **** outta shovelling!

28" across, 10.5 hp, 6 forward gears, 2 reverse, and my favorite part...electric starter, heh-heh. :D:D It earned its keep today, my friends. :)

Now... How much more snow will Wednesday bring? :eek:

Yeah Jaxx I seen on the news you guys got hammered up there. They said alot of people lost power. What about you?

Got lucky on that front... Not even a flicker. :thumbup: I'm feelin' very grateful that the juice supply held up. :)

That's always good not losing your power. I talked to a guy up that way he said the snow was so deep his four wheeler could'nt even go in it. Did it pretty much shut your town down.

We had that thought! But ... everybody in our neighborhood has power.:)

Dug the driveway out. Our little side street is well plowed. Unfortunately, the rest of the neighborhood is a hideous mess. We're going nowhere.

Oh, well. At least one more day trapped in the Casa. Tomorrow, I know I'll wrap up and hike out. Just to avoid cabin fever.:D

You bet it does!!:eek:

I got lucky ... my adult kids and one of their friends did 95% of the shoveling. And my back is STILL killing me. Getting old is not for the faint of heart!

I can't even think about Wednesday.

For the first time in living memory, my agency is actually shut down tomorrow. THAT is how bad this has been.

Not really. I went out around 2pm yesterday, and the all the secondary & main roads were already plowed. First gas station I rolled into was open for business. I am located just off an exit of the PA Turnpike, and the township has a few major 4 lane state routes running through it so that might explain why they get things done so quickly. :thumbup: It's not a very big town, but lots of road traffic flows through it daily.

:eek: Wow!! That IS pretty darn amazing. Well, I'm sure that you could use (& definitely deserve) an extra day off, so enjoy it! :):thumbup:

Oh, I'll just obsess about what I'm not getting done.:o

But ... I will "sleep in.":D

Got at least 24" in Gaithersburg, MD. Snow drifts almost to my waist! My GSD had to jump through the snow like a dolphin! :D

WOW......:eek::eek:

We are suppose to get hit by the Snow tomorrow and Wednesday:(:(

I was hoping that it would miss us......

I have a feeling I will be shoveling:mad::mad:

YUCK....
