We got some of that on Saturday! :)

ice
is not nice
under my feet
nor is sleet
in my face

We got some snow last week, feeling more like winter now, but the winter season is a full month late in coming.

Our first major winter storm is predicted for tomorrow afternoon through Wednesday. Get those shovels ready!

We got a short, but pretty flurry on Friday, around 1pm. I was finishing up my pizza, and as I get ready to go, my jaw simply DROPS from seeing all of these snowflakes coming down!

A friend of mine, in California, is also reporting a nice batch over there.

We woke up Saturday to a light coating, too. Nothing like you got Yangdu.

Nicholas, snow in Austin? That does sound jaw-dropping.

Be safe everyone.

We got our first snow storm Sunday morning and it's continued into today. Sure it snowed before Thanksgiving but nothing stuck to the ground. We now have 3 to 4 inches out side. :) If it's going to be this cold we might as well have snow to enjoy with it. ;)

I used to love snow in New York City. It muffled the sound and covered everything with a clean, bright coat. Shoveling the sidewalk was such good exercise, I used to do it for our building, to help my super out, and also for the building next door and two old peoples' buildings up the block.

Walking to work early on a snowy morning, I'd go through Central Park before anyone else and see the huge expanse of untouched fields of snow before me.

Now the shed would be an even cooler place to be ... :o

Very pretty photo, especially for someone who has never seen snow falling like that!

Twice I've been with men when they experienced their first snowfall. The first time was cool it was an 18 year old from Hawaii after joining the Air Force. The second time was almost magical, it was with and Indian (from India) progammer at work. He thought the snow was sooo cool and fun to feel. Then a couple of days later it got really COLD, he came in and asked me what was up with the ice on his car windshield; mHe said, "The ice before was easy to scrape, but THIS ice, it is very hard... I don't know what kind of ice that was." (you have to put the accent to it). I told him, "That was COLD ICE, Kapil". He was a good guy. It was a riot.

A beautiful sight, not often seen in these parts. If we make it to Indiana over the holidays, maybe we'll see some of the white stuff there.

"an Indian" not "AND" , I hate when I make those kind of mistakes.

Kev, spelling and grammar ain't no worry here, which is just as well for me.:o

I always seem to notice my error after posting and have found the 'Edit' button gets lots of use.

Did you know that India's royalty invented the snow cone? They'd have snow brought down from the mountain tops, and squirt wine and fruit juice into it.

Thank you, Sir
I just have a couple of posts, I've been welcomed, and do thank you for making sure.

Guess I'll be making use of the "edit" button. LOL, I'm glad they have that.

Umm...I thought the topic was snow.

Thanks,
Kev
