So after hours and hours of work... I have a drawing... whatcha guys think?

It may not be identical, but when I saw that blade with the ZT marked on it, I immediately thought of this:
ZTO.101-2.jpg

People who are less familiar with zero tolerance may either think that a) it IS a zero tolerance, or b) it's a cheap knockoff attempt at a zero tolerance.

Kind of like benchmark knives vs. benchmade knives.... not only is their name strikingly similar, their logo attempts to be too.

Not trying to offend the OP here, and I'm surely not accusing him of anything. Hopefully it's not taken the wrong way here. I'm just thinking of the worst case scenario when he tries to start marketing his knives.

Zach,

First I think your time with a pencil is well spent. I'm finding the ability to draw knives well has helped me when shaping the blades on the grinder. Well, time and practice help too.

One trick I did recently on several knives I drew was I matched the radius of the handle and blade curves to my 3/4",1",1-1/4",2",3",5" and 8" wheels. Those were the primary radiuses that I used.

I'd say spend a little time personalizing your makers mark. Maybe take advantage of the Z and do a Zorro type loooooong Z_______ type logo with the lower bar of the Z being a knife?

Be sure to share when you make it!

I'd like it better without the choil, but that's personal preference.

Yep. After reading about some input from a Marine on another persons knife he spoke of the disadvantages of a choil. I never even thought of, so I will probably save this design but make a new choilless one for me.
