Tony, that's a nice looking riding area. The grade on the hill doesn't look too bad, but of course it's hard to tell from a pic as they can be deceiving. I'm curious as to what bars are on your IF, I like the looks of those.

They are carbon fiber bars from IRD (a sponsor). They ride real nice but a big drag is that they don't have any area that is just plain old "round". So you can't put on lights or a bike computer. If you had just one bike I wouldn't recommend them. But for a race bike or a weekend bike they are very nice. :thumbup:

One cool thing is that they slope down to the levers as they go away from the stem; so the position you are in when you'd ride hard on a flat road is more aero. Oh one more thing... they sweep back towards the rider so you need an extra Cm in stem length.

We usually associate lava with Hawaii. I also associate two other things with Hawaii....lots of green (jungle) and blue oceans.

Smoke...probably the first thing that comes to mind is 'black'.

Put the two together and......green/black or blue/black G10 perhaps?



Tony, thanks for the info on the bars. I'm not sure I want carbon, but I do really like the bend on the drops on the IRD, not to mention the flat tops. I'll have to do some thinking....
