I was doing trademark work and came across a new trademark called Block Lock by Busse. Interesting indeed.

Nice catch! Looks like Jerry’s picked up three patents that describe a “locking block” mechanism for a folder since 2018, the most recent Date of Patent being September 28, 2021.

So there is movement.

That's the best news I've heard all year in the Busse world, with a little luck the guys making the decisions will get heavily wrapped up in boozing over the next 8-12 months and we can keep kicking that can down the road and continue the production runs of REAL knives (ie, ones without hinges... )

Not like Busse hasn't made a bajillion different fixed blades. But yeah, let's hope that everyone who has been waiting for ONE folder from them for YEARS gets let down...

I've got to tell you HOGs that we have been using a 3D printer to put out near a bazillion prototype folders, and I am blown away by the incredible accuracy of these fully functional 3D models! It has really sped up the modification process. Now, every time I make a small modification, instead of having to build new fixtures and do all of the prototyping "old school" out of titanium and steel . . . I just drop a drawing to our VMC Commander and he 3D prints it for me in-house, in the War Room.

Yeah 3D printers are a huge asset to R&D and prototyping. Was super beneficial and sped up prototyping processes when I used to work in robotics!

I concur with ScoMa: Since you (Jerry) printed out "near a bazillion prototype folders," perhaps just a little peek at something "in the works"...?
We realize it won't be the Final Folder Incarnation, yet a little Taste would do us All Good.

Personally I wouldn't show a prototype unless it was like 99% of the way there. That way if something needs to change people aren't disappointed or upset.
