So I got a sweet gift from the gf yesterday...(pics)

I don't think there is any more chance of getting cancer from an occaisional smoke of the pipe than there is from sucking in campfire smoke, and everybody here is guilty of that.

Cigarettes at a pack a day are not a good idea, but sitting around a campfire smoking a pipe....I think you are OK unless it turns into an everyday, all day occurence.

Heck, my Mom is 86, smoked Chesterfield Kings since she was 14 and she is still going strong (not that I advocate smoking by any means) I don't smoke at all, but the once in a while cigar or pipe to relax may actually extend your longevity.
 
I've toked on a corncob a Cherokee friend made for me years ago. I enjoyed it, but as things go, I put it down and didn't go back.

So is she trying to get you to quit smoking cigarettes or chewing?

I met a pretty blond nearly 24 years ago. She was a nurse and I realized that our relationship wouldn't go far with my smoking (2 packs a day then). I quit about a week after meeting her. And I'm still married to her and I still don't smoke :)

So, quit smoking and you can end up like me: I'm a quarter million in debt, I've got two teenage room mates I can't get rid of and I wake up with a 50 year old woman in my bed. :eek:

Like my father (married 56 years) says, "Heck, I've lived with your mother this long. What did I do? If I had shot someone, I might have gotten ten years..."

Last I checked 18 was the legal smoking age. So if brandon wants to smoke a pipe, a cigar and a cigarette, while chewing tobbaco, and mainlining nicotine into his jugular at te same time thats his priority. This was a thread about a nice gift from his woman and something alot of folks, including myself, enjoy around here. Dont try and ruin his joy.

Oh, and you better not get into a car....Car wreck here we come. Better put down the knives, ER here we come.:jerkit:

Heh, nah I don't smoke. Cigarette smoke really gets me. Pipe smoke seems different. Milder, I guess.

Word. I am much more likely to get in a car wreck tomorrow on my way to the hospital than develop some kind of oral cancer.:jerkit:
 
That is awsome that you have a GF that supports you no matter what it is you like to do. I have one like that, and I thought she was one in a million. Congrats brother
