• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

So it now costs $30/year to post WTS knives?

I didn't pay for my gold but when time comes to renew I probably will and I have yet to use the exchange. I think that shows what value I place on this forum and the gold membership.
I just moved from Gold to Plat and I haven't sold a single knife here (though I have bought dozens of knives here). I did it because this place allows me to be part a knowledgeable and enthusiastic knife-oriented community and provides almost daily entertainment for me.

I don't expect every member to be be a paid member. Not everyone has the same amount of money nor does everyone get the same level of enjoyment out of the site BUT I will say that if you are the kind of member who is only supporting here based on some kind of cost - benefit analysis of your knife sales, I personally don't care what you think. Pony up or go sell your knives somewhere else, as far as I'm concerned.

I hardly ever sell. But I re-up my Gold every year. It is the price of going to a movie and getting popcorn with my wife.....once....but I get a whole years worth if reading, entertainment and enjoyment.... plus the ability to easily sell a knife to someone with feedback, and a solid reputation.

The gold also gets me add free enjoyment.

Part of my reasoning why I would/will pay for a membership when it comes to renewal is that I frequently use ad-blocking which if I am not paying for membership means I am hurting the needed revenues used to maintain this site.

Personally I think the membership levels are very fair for the value of this site. I'm on my third year of gold membership and in that time I've bought a few knives and various other items from the exchange (which I could have done as a registered user), traded zero knives, sold zero knives, listed zero knives for sale or trade and asked one question about value that I can recall. Gold membership has still been worth every penny to me.

....this....I am an avowed knife buyer.... ;) I have not sold a single thing here that I can recall but the $$s are easy enough to pony up because of the the entertainment value alone. Hell I spend $4.50 on coffee EVERY day (to be specific everyday between 0730 and 0740hrs).

I'm just happy that you guys support the community. Without paying members, the site would have closed down a long time ago. I appreciate each and every one of you.

Well not every one of you. Looking at you, ppl who like Nickelback.

And as a comparison measure, be aware that eBay now charges a fee of 10% for any sale.

ANY SALE = TEN PERCENT!

One $300 knife and you're even.

Thank you for paying.
