I needed a new sheath for my favorite knife so I called the manufactor. They took my order.

It's been a month and almost two weeks.

I can't use my favorite knife because I don't have a proper sheath for it. I tried substituting and almost lost it.
Is this too long? Did they loose my order? I'm not going to mention the maker. They're a small co. and I'm not that mad at them YET...
Still, every time a new weekend draws closer, I get more disgusted.
 
Yeah I would call them. Thats a long time to just wait around but maybe it's one of those "allow 6-8 weeks for delivery" things.
 
There are terrific leatherworkers here and on that popular buying website.Get a better custom sheath quickly.
 
If you would divulge the name more people may be able to reply with their experiences. Otherwise it is just a shot in the dark. It is not like you are denigrating the company, just explaining that you are concerned with the time frame so far. Plus it will help others if they are awaiting the same- after all this forum is to help the community, and perhaps somebody close to the company will see this and be able to help in some way.
 
I can understand the frustration and being sick of waiting. As for myself, I've been waiting for a couple of replacement screws from the US for over nine weeks now. After the first six weeks I figured they must be lost someplace and asked if new ones might be sent, and no problem there. That was three weeks and counting ago.. rowboats and horse carriages seem to be the latest delivery method. :rolleyes:
