I broke the cardinal rule. I only buy from places I know. Either online or here. But I bought this Pm2 off eBay from someone with 100% feedback and I'm pretty sure it's a fake. Now before you criticize me. PayPal will refund any counterfeit item and I know the dangers of eBay. Moving on. If it is fake it is a very good one. I just happen to be well versed in counterfeits. But I want a second opinion. Can anyone confirm my suspicion?

These are the photos of the knife I purchased.

And the photos below are the knife I received.

The latest Spyderco Byte mentions that a few PM2s out of the latest production run had coarser G10, so you may have just received one of those. However, the lack of Eric Glesser's mark is troubling... I think it's a fake.

EDIT: Definitely a fake. The shape of the handles (too round) and the way the jimping is cut (not sharp enough), among other minor things are dead giveaways.

Yeah, I don't buy any reputable knife company knives on eBay.
I wonder if the seller knew it was a fake.

Yeah the pics from eBay is not same knife you got. Look where the edge ends.

I bought it knowing it was to good to be true. Paid $70 for it buy it now. Here is the posting

http://m.ebay.com/itm/182070750639

What was the main tip off was the seller had a quantity of 2 but only 1 posting for a used knife. I also reviewed his feedback and had sold a few of these and everyone left positive feedback.

Here is mine, bought from GP KNIVES, I really cant tell enough to tell you, there's only a symbol missing, I don't know, maybe pics will help you

The notch where the lock is is a dead giveaway. Yours has a sharp angle. It should be rounded like this.

The lettering and grind of the blade is off. It's almost a polished. I remember on my last one being able to feel the grind. But this one is smooth

I have already reported it to eBay and sent all the photos along with a message to the seller. I'll get my money back but still a bummer that people make these

I see it, besides the lock there's another part that looks metal to the left, mine is all g10 there

It is also very heavy. And the "G10" almost feels and looks like an attempt at carbon fiber

Just out of curiosity, I mean no disrespect, but why would someone who knows about knives, go thru all this trouble, for 30-40 bucks and you'd had the real deal

30-40 bucks is still 30-40 bucks. I can't assume everyone in the world is trying to screw me but I can make sure that I'm protected. It's not like the pictures weren't of a real Pm2. The seller had sold several and all were positive feedback. Now there is a negative from 2 days after I bought it and that's a chance I took. And honestly I'm sure people on here have gotten something that wasn't right...
