So... The PM2 I bought may be a clone...

Sounds like the ol' bait & switch. Try to document your case as best you can and hope eBay helps you out.
You walk away poorer, but wiser. Consider it a $70 lesson about the dangers of purchasing highly counterfeited knives on eBay

Yup. That's exactly what I have done. And I won't lose any money. PayPal has already frozen the funds and is refunding me. I'm just out the time I put into the case

You specifically called me out by saying that I was supporting counterfeits and I took that offensively. I hate counterfeiters and I'm glad you have never had someone con you. But there was no way for me to know to what I was buying was not real. I ran a chain of pawn shops in my area for many years so I have much more experience than most people with seeing counterfeits and purchasing knives (and a lot of other things). I didn't mean for it to sound like I was attacking you and I apologize.

No worries. I didn't mean for mypost to sound like I was scolding you or anything. If it did then I too am sorry. It was meant as more of a generalized suggestion even if I may have worded it poorly. The Para2 is probably the most cloned Spydie. It is one model that I wouldn't buy used from anybody, even somebody on this forum. The thread title says "recomendation?" in it so I gave mine which is to avoid the bay and to buy from trusted sources. My enabling comment was just meant to say that as along as people keep buying them they will keep making and selling them. I did not mean to imply that you were in any way condoning them. If that is how it came across I am sorry.

Ohhh. Ok. Just a miscommunication (or reading of information). All is good. Yes I will be purchasing a real one from a trusted source now. On a side note. If I didn't know about knives that might have passed for real. Which is super frustrating.
