So there's a Grylls knife clone from RS6...

"Beer Gyrlls" :)

The one on the left has a creepy kind of look on her face. Just saying. :p

Esav, as an afficionado of beer and women, I appreciate that post/pic. But couldn't you have found a pic including women that were actually pretty?

As to the original topic... I'm not a big fan of the original knife, and even less a fan of any "knock-offs". For the price of either, you could find or order something from someone here to your specs. A celebrity endorsement doesn't mean doodly to me. Just my $.02, as always.

EDIT: 3-liter bottles of Jag? Good grief. Please keep that away from me, I beg of you. Nothing good can come from it. :o

I agree guess we need to put on the Beer goggles!
lol!
Actually theres a BF member here somewhere with a really cute blondy "beer wench" in their avatar.

All through my college year (ho-ho) I was madly in love with the St. Pauli Girl girl. Come to think of it, that may have something to do with why I flunked out...

If you lay them next to each other they are different. It is actually a very nice knife. There are custom makers out there that are selling a close copy as well. The sheaths are junk and that is why RS6 lets you have the JRE sheath for $35. I polished mine to get that black coating off it. I have two of them and they are pretty tough knives that keep a good edge. My wife uses hers more in the kitchen than the woods. I guess if you like and use something it is worth the money.

I thought about getting the bear grylls bayley knife, when I found out it was ~$700 i started looking for similar knives. RS6 creates the best replica in my opinion, but with more research it seemed like all RS6 was good at is monetizing off the newest crazes. I guess they are a great company at making money, but when it comes to knives, it's all about jumping on opportunities.

I have nothing against RS6, but if you don't know much about knives, the ASK6 seems like a good knife.

I ended up getting a RC-4 and never looked back.

I love that design, when I first saw it I was almost able to forgive the shitty quality RS6 has and their cheep mall ninja advertising. If anyone else made that knife I'd buy one. Is that really that close to the Grylls knife? I don't think it looks much like it at all.

Not even a little?

You can do that with many Nessmuks here or Loveless knives or Beck copies. Schrade copied the project 1. Anyway it is a great functioning knife for a lot less. It is up to the individual making the purchase. All I know is the knife is tough and holds a good edge.
