I just received my first ESEE knife. I got the ESEE-5 from Dale. :)
Now that I own one..

I'm an Administrative Assistant / Receptionist. Due to the economy, I got laid off from an architecture firm in January. I'm currently working as a temp. receptionist at a non-profit organization that helps people with disabilities.

The architecture firm was the best job of my life. I hated to lose it due to the ongoing recession :(

I have a degree in math and sell marine parts for what you could call a living. I owe more in student loans than i make a year. Hopefully, someday i will find a career suited towards my knowledge.

I'm a carpet designer for a major carpet manufacturer. I design the custom carpet that goes in fancy hotels, casinos, golf clubs etc. Ballrooms, corridors, meeting rooms, restaurants etc., that's my gig. Many of the biggest hotels in the world are crammed to the gills with my stuff. If you travel at all, chances are you've walked on my carpet at some point. If you watch TV or movies, chances are you've seen my work.

My background is in fine art, and I do that as well. I'm what you might call one of those "artsy fartsy types".

personally prefer barter whenever possible

I do construction drawings for an engineering firm, specialize in shop/production/erection drawings for precast concrete construction. Currently managing our office's portion of a 135 bridge project across the state. I took on the responsibility because it would generate some consistent work for myself, that's my only additional compensation.

The construction/engineering industry as a whole has taken a huge hit. Our small firm has fared pretty well as in we still have our doors open. It's gotten pretty rough at times but we're hanging on for the moment albeit we've had pay and hour reductions.

For additional income, I do shop drawings for a specialty steel fabricator. They specialize in fences, guardrails, handrails, etc. It makes for some long nights but I make twice what I do at work so have to do what I have to do.

Then since I have all this "free time" I decided I would start teaching CCW courses. Been doing them since March and it's been going pretty well, but it is a lot of work.

One of these days I'm going to take some....what do they call that?....TIME OFF! :D

I am a retail manager at a vitamin store, as well as a bouncer at a bar in Baltimore. Always nice to have some back up on me when things get rowdy.

I went to college and graduated with a degree in communications with plans on being a journalist. However I work as a commissioned security officer. My new dream job lies in working for a humanitarian aid organization.I am researching graduate school currently.

Project Manager / Ops Guy for a company doing occupancy sensors and energy-efficient lighting upgrades.

In a past life, I ran large commercial/industrial/institutional electrical projects.

For fun, I shoot bowling pins.
