So what do you rat packers do for a living?

Tony, I don't instigate it. I'm not the one hijacking threads. I don't want it to happen, I don't ask for it, I don't provoke it. Sorry the thread went south, I'll just keep my input, experiences, product reviews, photos, trips etc to myself from now on...

Not sure what to think of this. I investigate people who seem to have all the toys and time to play with them, but, never work. So, I'll reserve judgement on this one and look forward to hearing what you do to pay for food and a roof!

Shoot me a PM, we can grill a few steaks and hit the trailhead.

I sell the gear built by a company that makes the gear that makes it possible for us to connect around the globe via this beautiful "matrix" we call the Internet. :D

"...that lives in the house that Jack built."

Oooooo. That means "don't ask any more questions." You guys/gals fly with us all the time. :D I love the fact that my office window is at 23,000 feet in the air!

Troubleshooter - If you make trouble I will shoot you!

Seriously Im a troubleshooter for a large PC manufacturer.
I make sure when people pay for something, they get what they pay for.
I also make sure that dipshit sales people who promise more than a motherboard will support get their asses rubbed on sandpaper.

All that is going south (literally) in about 6 months, dont know what I will be doing after that. Ten years of IT with 4 lay-offs in that same amount of time is starting chaff my butt a little. Seems like Im looking for work almost as much as Im working!

I am a SAR (Search and Rescue) Operator in Canada. I also instruct wilderness/winter survival.

Officially, I'm a vendor receiver at a fairly large grocery store. Not much of a job, but it's a 7-3, Monday-Friday, pays pretty well and lets me do pretty much whatever I want like buying knives.

I'm the one that makes sure you've got enough Coke and Pepsi to drink. I also keep the shelves clean and make sure you're not buying any out of date pork brains.

Unofficially, I'm a professional hurdle. I get in the way of normal, would-be successful people getting ahead in life. I make things interesting.

I'm a machinist. Give me a drawing, tell me what metal you want it made of, and I can make it. And I can make a lot of the tools I'll need to make your product.

Lately, started picking up spare cash by banging on doors at 2 AM, "reminding" people of the court appearance they missed.

Engi-nerd for a major financial organization here... Basically I do carrier class routing and switching protocols for a living.

Day job is in telecommunications, p/t gig for the past 9yrs or so is as a photographer for local motorsports events for a couple automotive websites. I've also been dabbling in model portraiture (at least trying to!) ;-)

Geophysicist in minerals exploration, and managing director of a geophysical consultancy. Basically I get paid to travel and hike through the jungle/desert/tundra looking for gold, diamonds, nickel, PGE's; it's a great job! In fact, without the job I would not have had the privilege of meeting and getting to know Jeff and Mike (while on an extended assignment in Peru).
