So where do you guys shop for knives?

I go to knifecenter to shop and decide what i want, and then to knifeworks, newgraham, and Blade HQ to buy, unless knifecenter is cheaper, which is rare.

Depends on the brand. For Benchmades and Kershaw/ZT's, I'd look at knifeworks and gpknives. For Spyderco's, yourcornerstore or cutleryshoppe. Then there are a bunch of others like 1sks, knifecenter, and newgraham that have pretty good prices depending on the model. All of these dealers seem to have good customer service.

They are a real Family owned/ran brick and mortar store. Not just a fake store front.

Often times right here. Lot's of deals on good knives. Pick up a couple of good ones then start trading around to see what you like.

I actually start here, then follow leads, hints, dealer ads......

Oops. I may have said too much;)

Happily for me ,I live only a 30 minute drive away from Canada's best knife store; 'Warriors and Wonders' in Vancouver. [as I tell my wife; "you don't think that it's a 'coincidence' that we live so close to W+W do you? It was preordained for me to be a knife addict".]
I know a lot of people order on line, but I still like to handle a knife before buying it.

Talk about the knives themselves goes in General Knife Discussion.
Talk about deals and Dealers goes in FEEDBACK.

I've bought from most of the ones mentioned and had very good experiences. Two U haven't seen mentioned are Plaza Cutlery and Only Fine Knives.

I've only purchased one knife from Only Fine Knives and it was recently but I think they will probably be my first call until I have a reason to change. The only way it could be easier to deal with them is if they gave you knives for free ;)
