So, which one of your collection would you keep

An Art Washington paring knife with a stamascus ladder pattern blade, mokume bolsters and mammoth bone scales. The knife was a gift from VG.

See - this is also what that question means to me. To others, it means which knife is the most useful/versatile. Apples and oranges, IMHO. :)

Mine would have to be a dimestore 2-bladed pen knife that my grandfather carried, and that was later proudly owned by my father. I should really use that one sometimes. The carbon steel blades take a nice edge.

It used to be this one:

Hundreds of knives, but an easy question. I'd keep my father's knife that he carried for 50+ years and then gave to me a few years ago. It's a small Henkels gents knife that looks like it's been to hell and back, but I'd sell a kidney before parting with that knife (definitely get more for the kidney too! :D )

Definitely, cause I've already thinned the herd a few times, my soul mate. A Randall Model 1, 8", R77 non-catalog item with micarta handle & finger grooves. It's as wore as I am but still going strong..just like me...and we'll die together if I have my way.
Still, I'd hate to not be able to own but one knife!

I'd have to say this old Western boyscout knife i found at a garage sale... holds an edge better than any other knife i have, plys, i have YET to find a way to even remotely damage it...

That would be a tough choice, but .......
