So who actually uses their Sebenza for EDC

I carry my Bacote Large Classic 99% of the time.I have never lost an EDC (knock wood).I just bought a small Micarta classic that I will use.
Don't be scared to use it.I had mine laying on my lap the other day in the liveing room.I stood up forgetting it was there and sent it flying into the brick mantel, did not hurt it at all and the way it hit and as hard as it hit I though it would really be ugly.

My EDC has been my small regular since '99. The first few years I had it, I used it hard, sort of as a "test". Was this knife good enough? It didn't matter what others said about the knife's qualities, the knife had to prove it to me. Well the knife proved it was capable and then some. I don't use it as hard anymore because I want this knife to last the rest of my life; this sebenza, not any sebenza, the one that has been with me. If I ever do lose it--which is my biggest worry, I don't know what I would do.

I have carried, and used, my Large Regular Sebbie since the day that I received it. I sold quite a few of my Spydies to get my first CRK and I don't regret it one bit. Fit and finish are perfect, as well as, each time that I disassemble/clean and reassemble it, the Sebbie locks up as tight and solid as it did the day I received it.

For me, the Sebenza IS my 'Excalibur'...

My Large Classic is my main EDC. I use it for work, and I work in a dirty, inky newspaper warehouse.

The first scuffs and scratches look really out of place on a new knife, but after some pocket time and use the knife looks overall worn in, and it looks good. Ink and dirt smudges show up easily on the titanium, but they also wash off easily. I was annoyed at first at how easy it is to scratch or scuff the titanium, as well as how easily it shows dirt, but once the marks and stains showed up over the whole knife, it actually started to look cool.

I wouldn't pay $385 for a knife I wasn't going to use. I bought the Sebenza because it is such a good user. That is why it is worth the price, IMO.

If I lose it, I will buy another. To not use it because of fear of losing it is like not having it at all.

I own eight soon to be nine and I carry three of them. The rest are nice looking collectables and I keep them new.

All my users I bought used on this forum.

A Seb has been in and out of my pocket for a couple of years as EDC.
Started with a small Classic, which made it's way to my Dad.

Now I carry a Large Regular, it had been replaced by another for a little while as EDC, but it's back home in the pocket.

Great for EDC, and most excellent for some amateur Woodworking.

I'll pass on some info Fullofleead told me when I was considering throwing all that $$ for a Seb. He said "Go ahead, get the Seb.. You'll never look back."

The words held true.

DaveH, would you mind posting a current pic of the sebbie in post #10? That's my favorite decorated one, and I'm curious what it looks like after seeing some scratches and use.

Yeah, I love that graphic. It must take quite a bit of fortitude to carry that beauty in the same pocket as your keys and change. :)

I am a dedicated large lefty Sebenza every day carrier. I carry it so much that all my pants with pockets have clip wear. I even have my Sebbie in my shorts when I got to bed. The only time I don't have my Sebenza with me is when I'm in the shower. It would hurt to clip that baby to my person. :D

I carry my small lefty classic sebbie every day at work. When I'm not at work I usually carry my large regular lefty with a swedge grind. I also have a lefty NICA tanto that I carry on the weekends. I like to carry all of them. That's why I bought them. If I just wanted to look at them I would just pull up a pic on the web. Use them. That's why Chris made them.

EDCd a large regular for 8 years. I bought it the year that BG42 replaced ATS-34.It was retired last year and replaced with another large regular.

I cant think of a better knife for my needs:D

Like Grnamin, all of my pockets (office pants and jeans) are showing wear from EDCing my Seb. I spent the bucks for a large LE bark ivory (twice the price of a plain one) and by God I plan on taking it everywhere, well except for pajamas and the shower.

I saw that someone referred to their Seb as 'Excalibur'. Gonna have to borrow that phrase for my beauty.

Got a small classic and a small regular in my EDC rotation (and 2 calypsos as well ;) ) ; can't imagine those lying in a drawer or a safe. These are meant to be used, if not abused... :D

A small sebenza seems to jump in my pants in the morning when I put them on. I beleive it is magic. I farm, and this knife does not get babyed. Still works and looks like new. I have owned alot of knives, but keep going back to this one. I like to carry my Al Polkowski Polecat, when I go to town,IWB, to keep the trash took out!:p

I've EDC'ed a African Blackwood Mnandi for the past 2+ years, the perfect office knife.

My EDC rotation includes a small woody classic Sebenza, a couple of Mnandis and a medium Mayo TNT.
