One of the things I love about a hard use knife is that I really enjoy chopping apart big piece of timber for firewood. Why have an axe when you can use a knife? :D

Although I currently only own one busse, My BATAC has had its first workout today. For a long time I just found the knife to be too big and heavy as I usually carry smaller knives but I decided to hell with it...Im not selling this baby so I may as well beat the crap out of it. Well my girl got her first beating today and it shows :D . I took my nephew out to the beach and we set up a fire and roast marshmellows. My Batac batoned up all the kindling for the fire and did a great job. Thanks Jerry and team for a wonderful tool. Sorry I didnt have my camera for my outing but ill take some shots of my knife this weekend.

So who else loves to make firewood with their Busse knives? I know I do!

That's all I use my FFBM for; works great!

You could say that.

Yep, batoner here. Even at home, for wood for the fire place. Nothing beats the ole FBMLE...

I baton all the time, Busse's can take the abuse. My favorite knife for batoning is my DFLE.

Sometimes I use a baton. My old FFBM was a great wood splitter.

My 2007 Anniversary ASH1 SE does it, too:

I'd love to show you a KZ in action splitting wood without a baton, but that will have to wait. :D
