Is a Khuk a good tool to baton with? any one have experience with this?

Any kind of seriously curved blade is a bit more of a pain in the butt to baton with, but it's certainly possible. I'd much rather baton with a straight blade, though.

Don't you people realize that batoning is abusive and could break your knife? Especially if you hold the knife the wrong way, or hit it at the wrong angle. Do you know how much stress that can generate? Or, there could be a knot in the wood. Or the wood could be too hard, if it's frozen. Or the steel could be brittle, if the temperature's too cold.





































Or you could just use a Busse and not worry about it, like I do.

I certainly do, sometimes. It's not so much that I need to, but rather that I can and it can be useful and fun to do when I'm too lazy to get an axe. Game Wardens, FFBM, SAR4, NMSFNO, I've batoned with all of them. They can take it
