I dont think chiro's intention was to test the knife to destruction I often stick my camp knife into the end of a log when I'm out in the woods and I don't always pry it out exactly straight.I said it before and I will say it again:I believe a hard use knife should be able to withstand a reasonable amount of abuse.I think 1/4 in of soggy wood should have been no match for the Greco.This incident has soured me on the 2 Grecos I was to order next week.I will wait for furthur tests.

Yes, I got your point, when I wrote the previous post I was responding to other remarks that had been posted. I think many others have done the same thing. I think this went from "should I return this knife" to "what kind of idiot tests knives anyway?" I agree with you on the first point, so please read my previous and following posts with the same understanding. thanks
