Sodbusters, whos got em'?

Yes me too! Shrapnel's mods are impressive, kind of Impala Horn like. I'd like to try it myself but must take some skill not to file too deep:eek::eek:

Here's one that Don Seals modified for me a couple years ago.

Tiger stripe micarta and file work on the blade and backspring.

Amazing Micarta on that one, bit like Old School Cell without the behaviour problems.....:eek::D

Thanks, Will

Question did centofante borrow from the sodbuster design? I'm new to traditionals but I bought a Crkt tribute at some point for my brother and it kinda resembles a sodbuster.

From what I can see, I am going to go with "no".

My first reaction to this knife was the urge to return it; after a bit of work, I really love it. It's an honest to goodness knife.

I have to agree,its just a good ole knife,that a fella doesn't mind using.

My new sodbuster by Keith Johnson. You can see a little steak patina going on (I eat a lot of steak).

Blade: CPM D2
Spring: CPM 154 spring
Scales: old Westinghouse white Micarta scales.

I brought this old thread back up because 1) I hate being the killer of threads and 2)I made another sodbuster i want to show. It's usa forged damascus, ladder pattern with Buffalo horn on stainless steel liners. It carries nice and light and has great tight snap.Issue with it is has a pretty bad gap in the liner.I may take it back apart and see what's what after i carry it awhile.

Thanks,I had a lot of trouble with it.I just need to keep after it and start another one.Folders=Hard.
